@Lizzie27 Lizzie, I'm not sure which type you mean, but these are the 2 types I have. The French arch trellis with finials I got some from Primrose, I didn't pay as much as quoted here, they've gone up a lot, and later I added and got some more but can't remember from where..  There are also two sizes, I have both the tallest and one that is shorter. Best shop around, other places sell these I think. They are Panacea brand.
..these fence panels I actually got from The Range, IÂ don't know if you have one of those stores near you, they had lots in stock and I just picked up the amount I needed plus the posts to push into ground.. I notice these have gone up a lot too..
...ok, but just to say you do realise you've potted up the rootstock don't you? that's rosa corymbifera 'Laxa' in that pot - that was the sucker you potted up.. is that what you want to keep? it grows very large, flowers with small white/pink blooms for about 3 weeks and big red hips in autumn.. Large and unruly..Â
@Marlorena, thanks for those links. The ones from The Range are ones I was looking for, just the right height I think. Not sure if we have a shop anywhere near here but could always buy online.
@Marlorena Veronica Austriaca 'Crater Lake'. Upright, mound-forming, good edger. I am happy that I found it because it is true blue and a good companion for roses. They are really nice this year (their second, they were planted in autumn 2020), 40-45cm tall and similar spread. Taller than last year, maybe because of a more rainy spring.
@Tack Ty! Albertine is growing on a large 8’ fence, with a couple of honeysuckles and a Mme Alfred Carriere. I’m no good for wondering about future planning..I just fly by the seat of my pants and let future me sort it out Â
Is there anything I can do about powdery mildew on my roses? Variegata di bologna and bring me sunshine have both got it now. I was picking all the affected leaves off of variegata but it keeps coming back
@owd potter ...no worries, I've often potted up weeds thinking I had something rare and unusual.. I might have misled you originally about it in any case..  the hips are the best for culinary purposes should you have a wildish area you want to plant it, ..Â
