Ha ha! I very much doubt he visits here much if at all - he gets so much traffic on his own social media channels that seeking out others would be insanely time consuming. He doesn't normally reply to those sorts of comments though, so they must have touched a nerve.

" Monty gets stuck into some seasonal jobs at Longmeadow.
Nick Bailey heads to Bodnant Garden in north Wales to find out how the team are tackling the recent storm damage and what new planting opportunities have been created. Frances Tophill meets a couple new to gardening who have created a garden that is both productive and ornamental in a long, narrow plot at their home in Somerset.
GP Amir Khan shares the health benefits of gardening and spending time in green spaces at his wildlife friendly garden in Leeds. In Lincolnshire, meanwhile, we visit a grower who champions the hollyhock, as custodian of the national collection of this cottage garden favourite.

They are at Bodnant tonight. @Dovefromabove and I had a mutual friend who was chef to the lady of the manor. Living fairly close, i was lucky enough to get a personal tour of the house and gardens, Plus, when I had my chutney business, I sold to the farm shop. I look forward to seeing it.
Interesting that on this weeks show he unknowingly re-opened the debate on which he ended the last series, ie. whether his big yellow daisy is the Rudbeckia laciniata he claims or is in fact one of the perennial Helianthus sunflowers. This was part of my first discussion on joining the forum last year:
Last week's episode was very good keeping even Mrs Wilderbeast engaged all the way through. Last night's was fine, I do wish we saw more gardens in season rather than seeing glorious summer gardens in march.
I loved the garden in Frome (the potager style). Having a very open, sunny garden, the different areas of light and shade made me very envious.
With regards to the Rudbeckia/Helianthus debate, the photo used to illustrate it is definitely a Helianthus, but looking at the leaves of Monty's plant, it could be the Rudbeckia that he's referring to ?
The section on Bodnant l found fascinating, particularly the explanation of the root plate of the Sequoia. Such a shame about the damage, but the way it provides a chance for change and helps the gardeners to learn was interesting. I love Bodnant, such a beautiful place.
Thyme lawn, interesting and l loved the wildlife. We have the perfect situation for one in the front garden, but l can't see my OH agreeing somehow
The Doctor's garden was a wildlife haven and inspirational in my opinion. The explanation of the effect on the immune system was a lesson for me. Green prescribing, good idea. So yes, l enjoyed this week's programme.

Any new thoughts?
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
Sorry if that is too sanctimonious for you.
