If it's Adam, Monty , Carol , Frances or Sue I'm ready to be motivated Again!. Every day is a learning day in Gardening, already had my Gardening gloves on a few times  here in Wales . Thanks for posting a reminder  Helen P3  and Wales are playing that night as well, might be channel hopping.

I still love the show. It’s not perfect but it’s a perfect way to ease into the weekend. If I see a plant I like or pick up a tip or two then even better.

I usually find there's something that inspires you to think about what you're doing right or wrong and how to do it better or not at all!  (The latter often influenced by those viewers' videos, although the quality did improve in the last series!)

I don't mind the viewers' gardens that show really good planting ideas or good useful tips, but (shoot me down if you like) with a few exceptions, I've found them dull, and a lot come across as either "aren't I/my kids clever" or "holier than thou" or "look what a great presenter I am, gizza job" with the actual content being nothing special or unusual.

I'm certainly not shooting you down @JennyJ, I'm agreeing with you wholeheartedly. In these days of dumbing-down I think the focus has shifted more to casual gardening rather than the more serious stuff most of us here are guilty of.

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

10 days until the first programme airs and many already have the opportunity for a good moan. At least it provides that service 😂

Hopefully the production team have got their act together to give us more of the good stuff and less of the crap

I generally record it, so I'll selectively use the fast-forward button as usual.
I agree JennyJ! I got pretty fed up with the viewers gardens I wanted more tips and ideas from the experts that’s what we pay our licence fee for! I could never afford to get Monty or Adam round for advice!

I do wish though that they’d do something/a prep programme in January on what’s coming up as they always start with “here’s some such-n-such which I planted from seed in January” then go on to show young plants or veg that’s already been growing for a couple of months, if I want to have a go at growing it then I’ve missed the sowing boat. I know monty often says you can buy veg plants in garden centres or potted bulbs etc but it’s a very expensive way to buy plants and on a limited budget I prefer to try and grow stuff from seed. But id like to follow what’s featured in the program. Monty did a little more sowing last couple of years but it’d be nice to get prepared in advance! If that makes sense ?

If you'd taken note last March or April you'd have had the info to remind youwhat to sow or plant in Jan and Feb!

I'm pleased it's coming back so early and for an hour each time but I do hope it's a full hour of good stuff and not lots of padding.   It'll be set to record so I can skip any dross but also repeat view the good bits.

If they can't afford the fees or manage the logistic to have expert gardeners visiting well known gardens and collections to give us good advice and ideas maybe they could do visits to gardens in the Yellow Book?  They'd be better than almost all the viewers' gardens videos.

I think the idea of the viewer videos is to make everyone feel included and not to scare off all of the new "pandemic gardners".

I must admit to finding the programme tough going and a little intimidating when I first started watching it.  Now that I know a bit more I don't feel like that but the inclusion of the viewers' videos does lighten it up for those who are new to it all.

We need to remember that the BBC isn't made just for us; it has to appeal to as many people as possible.

The viewing figures for GW are higher then they have been for years (percentage wise) so they're doing something right.
