Thoroughly enjoyed this episode - even the viewers gardens! The garden in Kent was absolutely amazing - a real labour of love. Cannot believe she's done the whole lot herself :open_mouth:

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

    Tonight’s episode was wonderful.

It felt like it was only on for half an hour. Time flies etc

Yup, excellent from start to finish with some gardeners who were great characters.  Four things sprang to mind: economists must be very well paid for that lady from Kent to afford the stately home garden. It was stunning, and astonishing she managed it without any help.

Arit’s flowering tub looked great but judging by the size of the plants she included I think it would cost £150 - £200 to replicate.

Thirdly, where was the location of the second viewers’ garden? I thought Monty said Lebanon but it had a lush North European feel and the owner had a Dutch accent.

Finally, are you envious of the soil quality in Monty’s raised beds? When he plunged his hand in to plant bean seeds it had the resistance of a bag of flour.

Compared to my soil, which has the resistance of a block of refrigerated butter? Not jealous at all ;)

My OH who was only half watching, suddenly said "Wow, look at that soil", then fell back into a stupor.

Oh, to have a 300 feet long lawn with deep borders either side, and that was just part of her garden .
I wish they'd had a drone shot so l could put the whole thing into context.
As for her self control when it came to buying plants, l am absolutely nothing like that.

The retired couple were more like me, when he said he lived to buy plants l related immediately. It may be considered naff, but l loved his brick constructions. Something like that to hide my compost bins would be perfect.

It was a Dutch garden @BenCotto, l'm not sure exactly where though.

Looking forward to the construction of the bog garden, makes a change from The Mound  ;)

That Kent garden was astonishing and wonderful - I loved how thoughtful it all was... but yes, I did find myself musing on economist incomes!

    The Netherlands, not The Lebanon.

    Enjoyed it all 🙂

    Lovely, from start to finish.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Surely being sanctimonious and arrogant are Monty's jobs?
