I'd like to see more of Chris Beardshaw too @valerieroberts.
Nice easy manner .... knows his stuff ... and is very "easy on the eye"  ;)

    Here's hoping.

Sorry, I'm confused ... I thought we were in the 21st century ... if a chap judged the suitability or not of a female gardening presenter by whether or not she were 'easy on the eye'  he'd be hauled over the coals, and quite rightly too.  What's going on?

I think Monty does exactly what he wants in his garden.  What the production team choose to film and edit is another matter entirely and I have long suspected that none of them has any real interest in plants and gardening, let alone the knowledge to help them produce better programmes and some sort of follow up to projects, plants growing after seeds sown or cuttings taken or divisions made.

Those seed press things are amazing, chicky. I'm dead envious. 😀

I didn't realise the cherry blossom fella was a sleb. That's probably why I had an allergic reaction to him.

The episodes are definitely getting weaker after a strong start to the series.

I'd hardly call him a celeb. We know him up here from his segments on Landward, which are always interesting,  and I was quite surprised to see him on G's World one time when I watched it last year.
I've never seen him on anything else, but I don't watch the same programmes as other people do - certainly not reality type shows.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

If you are referring to Chris Beardshaw, he's a long established nurseryman and garden designer.  He's been on TV for years in England.  He most definitely is not a 'celeb' from some reality show.
I wonder if his health issues would prevent him being able to commit to being the main presenter.  Great shame if is does.

I think Fairy is talking about JJ Chalmers. I don't think any of us would be surprised (or sad) to see Chris Beardshaw on GW but the only TV I've seen him doing is Beechgrove. He's a great presenter - very calm, knowledgeable and clear. I haven't seen this week's GW yet and have no idea who JJ Chalmers is
