I think Adam is great. He has a proper professional training and has gone on to become an award winning designer as well as a good presenter. When he shows us something done the way GH did he says so. Not so MD. Adam is also a thoroughly nice chap who, like CB, Carol, Christine and others is happy to chat to ordinary folk at shows like Chelsea.
I like Adam. I went to Chelsea the year he won a gold medal. When I got to his garden, I told the (lady) minder who was handing out his advertising literature that his garden that year was my favourite. She said "Well you had need a better view then" and opened the entrance to allow my sister and me a private viewing. There, out of public eye was Adam sweeping up the leaves that had fallen overnight. He was lovely to chat to and I now have a garden full of Pheum Geraniums as they featured heavily in his design that year.
No-one knows if you have done your house-work, but everyone knows is you haven't done your gardening
I also thought the choice of Nerine for his window box rather... novel? Personal preference, I know, but the height of flower to the prostrate rosemary would seem out of balance. Montydonicus prostratus was very twee!
I often get horizontal in my borders [ before I have touched a drop ] There are some flowers which look best from ground level and I also find it a great position to weed in, helps prevent removing wanted self seeders.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
JJ Chalmers was one of the main tv presenters for the winter olympics.
He was also featured on one of those programmes that repair/renovate stuff that the owners no longer want ... seems he's a bit of an all rounder , but for me too, I had never heard of him before he was on 'Strictly'

Think he's being given lots of presenting opportunities ... he's being 'trained up'. Given that the BBC are being criticised for the high pay of some presenters, and many of the big names are leaving to earn more, the BBC have to have plenty more waiting in the wings.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

If I got down horizontal I'd need a crane to get me back up!

Ha ha - Nelly carrying the basket made me laugh - I said to my husband, ooh some of the forum lot will be very angry about that scene!
