I think you'll all find I'm bang on trend in every aspect of life ;)

As for being middle-class, well I'm a similar size to Ronnie Barker :D

Only people of a certain age will understand the Ronnie Barker comment.  I understood it, but at my age will probably have forgotten again by the time I finish typing thi......

It's a classic @KT53. Surely all 27 year olds are aware of it ;)

    Aye right... ;)

    A classic right enough @Biglad

I also plant what I like - not what anyone else tells me is 'on trend'.
What a hideous expression that is too!  :D

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

What will Sarah Raven fill her catalogue with if dahlias become unfashionable?  🤔

To be fair … I bought a gorgeous Dahlia ‘Waltzing Matilda’ from her last year … it really was a superb plant … but it wasn’t cheap!

  • Sarah Raven is fab for ideas - her Flowers for all Seasons book is my bible - but I rarely buy plants from her because they're so expensive and any mail order plants I find are hit and miss. I do buy seeds from her quite often though. Going to visit her garden for the first time next week!

I know someone else mentioned it already... did anyone else think Adam Frost's downsize was a bit of a surprise? Not so much the downsize itself but the choice... a North facing garden overlooked by loads of houses! Felt like an odd choice and I'm nosey to know what the back story is (not that I'm a fan of his anyway)

Aye and sent me the wrong plants. Gillenia Trifoliata ordered in Jan, when they were delivered no labels on but I potted them up. When they started to grow it was perfectly clear they weren't Gillenia, looked like aquilegia. Let the company know but by then the Gillenia was out of stock. I'm still not certain what the plants are but possibly Thalictrum.
I planned a whole new border around the Gillenia, colourwise and texture. God knows what it will look like now. Might have to hoick the Sarah Raven plants out.
