We've had a shower. Not enough to settle the dust.
Have been to see the chooks - still dosing with meds which is a good game - and have watered and fed all my treasures in the polytunnel. Then OH and I emptied all of my "projects" out of the ruin so it's free of disturbance when the house martins and swallows return in the next few weeks. They'll keep me busy when I'm not sewing, sowing, weeding or planting.......

Good news on the knee @Obelixx. What a handsome grass snake @Hostafan1. Glad it was a good visit with hubby - fingers crossed for him getting over whatever is causing the cough. Not pleasant for him.
My birthday tomorrow. It has become almost family lore, when I warn against false springs: "It has rained on my birthday before now". We may not be up to see it, but I think this counts:

Not sure where the morning went, seems a while ago now. This afternoon I went to the smaller plant nursery, in Aubeterre, and bought 3 peonies and a hydrangea "Vanille Fraise" for DIL's birthday then to Leclerc for a present for 3 yr old grand daughter's birthday. Son 2 wasn't working today, working Saturday instead, so I took the presents to their house and gave them to him. I also bought a Cotinus "Royal Purple" for me
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Such a shame the weather has taken a turn for the worse, apparently we're getting snow here too and there's a warning about all the fruit trees in the being damaged by frost and snow.
Happy Birthday @didyw, hope you have a lovely day.
Have a birthday cake to make today, just a simply decorated Victoria Sandwich in pink. And believe it or not another group have booked for Sunday, a table of 21, that's alongside our other booking for 16. It's a ladies rugby team and they are having a special 'repas sportif' so lots of pasta ready for their match afterwards.
So a busy weekend ahead.
I have booked a few days off before Easter though, going down to Béziers in search of a little sunshine as I'm not going to make it to Corfu until at least the end of September.
I hope everyone is well, especially @Hostafan1 hubby, and the Covid symptoms are not too severe.
Good day to all. 🙂
