Morning all, bright and sunny at the moment after heavy overnight rain, haven't ventured out yet to see how wet it is.
Found out last night that my sister is in hospital, it was her birthday yesterday so rang to wish her a lovely day but no reply, her son phoned me last night to say she went to hospital on Sunday! Mmm, thanks for letting me know. Apparently she got out of a car and her leg gave way and she couldn't feel it, she is in a hospital which shall i say is useless and very slow to do scans etc. Her son said they want to send her home today but luckily he has his wits about him and said no.
Not sure what i'm up to today I think it depends on how wet the ground is.
Catch up with you all later.

Oh dear @floralies ... so sorry to hear about your sister ... I hope she's up and about and recovered very soon.

PatE here he is, taken this morning. He's a Phalene.phone seems to think that's a rude word,or site, some kind of warning flashed up,and deleted. Cousin of the Papillon, only difference is the ears. He has large floppy ears. Can't be bothered to go to curmudgeons! I looked up weather this morning just for this area,it said wall to wall cloud,no sun.  Guess what it's sunny, and windy grrrr.

He’s gorgeous. I’m envious, but have decided not to start again with another pet since I’ll probably go before it and leave the poor little thing alone and confused. I still miss my little toy poodle.   When our son visits, he brings his cat who I really love and our daughter brings her dog, so we still have some pet time. 😁

    Good morning!  Afternoon @Pat E

Same here @Allotment Boy   After a rainy afternoon yesterday, it is sunny and bright here.  Lit the fire yesterday afternoon.  Really enjoyed having it on with a cup of tea and a couple of pieces of date and walnut cake - no heavy cream cheese icing!!  (Cutting down).

So!  Things to sweep a bit and clean out.

    Have a pleasant day.

Pet time is important @Pat E, even when just borrowed, but you're probably wise not to get another now.

Cool and grey here.  We've just finished putting the last of the furniture and the big oriental rug back in the living room.   Still have a coat of paint to do on one of the downstairs doors and frame then chair seats.  Nearly done.  Rain is imminent so just as well I have indoor jobs to get on with.

Slept well the last two nights but that's cos I've upped the meds for the throbbing knee that's been waking me up in the small hours and till after dawn.   X-rays tomorrow ready for seeing a man about a new knee at the end of March.  Hope he's favourable.

Good luck to @Busy-Lizzie's OH today.  Take it easy with the stretching @Dovefromabove.   HUgs to all with aches and pains or other worries.

No bananas in Manchester tart @D0rdogne_Damsel!!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/manchestertart_91315   I'd have thought banoffee pie would be fine if the toffee layer is set and the cream is well whipped.  You can get something they call Chantifix to help it set - helps when all you can find is 30% fat apparently.  Never tried it but Possum bought some cos she'd used it in Belgium.

@D0rdogne_Damsel ... perhaps the retro school dinner dessert Gypsy Tart would go down well with some of your customers ... I don't know any chap who was at school in the 50/60s who can resist it

It's also so rich that the portions don't need to be very big  ;)

Punkdoc thats blancmange!!! Pat, I think Leo will probably outlive us all.doesnt seem possible,we got him when our youngest daughter was 14,she's now 30. He's fit as the proverbial butchers dog. No arthritis, nothing. He does have rotten teeth, has had 2 or 3 cleans under GA and extractions. We never found a toothbrush small enough for his mouth. People never believe how old he is,we got him at 11 weeks
He can still do 3 hours up the Downs.

@Nanny Beach   He looks bright eyed and bushy tailed!!  My Border was 6 on the 27th Feb.  People say - ooh  isn't she playful!!  She's only 6 for goodness' sake.  My last Border was 16 and although riddled with arthitis still enjoyed walkies!!  I had to have her put down because of the pain.
