Not sure about gardening now, sun has gone and it's chilly outside. OH has lit the wood burner.

@Yviestevie do you mean me or BigLad?

it was a Great Tit - they are so green on the back 😂
I bought the house at the NT shop at Dyrham Park in November and it’s on a 3m high pole that is a washing line holder, and it looks to the north.

    I my garden.

Not sure now BL thought it was you who posted the link but I might be wrong.  I'm really enjoying Wordle only joking re the above.  It does become really addictive though. At least it's exercising my brain which doesn't get much of a work out these days.

Could have been me. I used to do old Wordle's but now I just do the daily one. I'm a bit addicted to Jigsaw Planet, especially when the weather is bad.

Well it's stayed dry so far and when the wind drops and the Sun is out  its quite pleasant.  Potted up 2 Helibores (part of SD'S birthday  present in a couple of weeks time). Also repotted, a small conifer, some Ranunculus etc.  Nothing strenuous, but I find the cold wind outside, makes you feel tired when you come back inside to the warm.

I’ve been glued to various tv shows today, so haven't read back yet. Will catch up tomorrow.
The storm passed over fairly quickly, so we’re ok.  Night all.

Hello all, cloudy and cold today, no incentive to go outside but OH has now finished pruning the Salvias for me today.
Have managed at long last to find out what is wrong with my sister who had a fall last WE, she has a damaged knee ligament still yet to find out which one, it's like pulling teeth from her sons!
Hugs to those feeling down, it's very difficult to feel cheerful at the moment.

@didyw I had a very brief foray into local politics and didn't enjoy it. Well done for sticking with it but I wouldn't blame you for saying 'sod this for a game of soldiers' and leaving them to it. I did, I'm afraid. I cannot get into the mentality of people who treat it all as some sort of grand game which individuals 'win'. I thought it was basically a form of community voluntary service. Consequently, I kept being surprised by ambushes and self defeating stupidity. I'd find myself, open mouthed, just saying 'But why? why would you do that?'. Gave up after 2 years.

As you say, 1st world problems. Hope you can find a way to rise above it and just get stuff done.

Cold here today and a bit grey, so I've focused on doing invoices to get in the money to pay for the greenhouse  :/

Everyone I've ever known in politics, local or otherwise has an agenda and often it's self serving.
I'm sure there are many who have the best of intentions, but end up, like you, beaten into submission.

IMHO Nobody should be in LOCAL politics under the banner of a political party. Local politics should be about local issues, not Party grandstanding.
