Morning everyone,  oh heck @Busy-Lizzie you are not having any luck with this,  let's hope it is sorted soon.

A bit creaky here,  we decided to have a go at repotting another Acer. I was going to get the men to do it but as they only do occasional jobs for us they can be hard to pin down.  It needed doing because several  pineapple lillies had self set into the soil.  Yoga last night helped a bit but I'm going to have to take it easy for a few days.

Morning all, that is such bad luck @Busy-Lizzie that is so disappointing for OH.
Not sure what i will do today, joints are very sore from gardening yesterday and rain is due later. I was looking at the pictures of the floods in NSW @Pat E like us you are high up which is good.
My sister is still in hospital having daily physio, she can only go home with a brace on her knee and not allowed up stairs. Her sons were going to try and bring her bed downstairs but I said to them it would be easier to buy a new one and when and if she can do the stairs again they could sell it.

Floralies, bless your sister. Who is Susie Dent? I know they are, ridiculously, but never in my realm.

    That looks lush @Pat E

We hoover with a Henry here @Nanny Beach, as Dove says, the word has become a verb.  One of my tutors at uni. was a real pedant. I remember him correcting me by saying things can only be 'different from', not 'different to'.  He would have had a fit with 'different than'.

Not again @Busy-Lizzie - you must both be feeling really fed up with it all.

We are on dual fuel with whoever the govt. put us on after our supplier went bust. They help themselves to whatever they want from my bank account.  I can't even think about it as I get so cross as all of these big energy companies make obscene profits yet don't invest nearly as much as they should in renewables, same as the water companies - make a fortune, do nothing about the Victorian pipework that constantly leaks and discharge effluent into the sea and rivers on a regular basis.  Bring back nationalisation!

Nice and bright - but chilly.  We are going to take the car for a spin to the coast today - where it will be colder still. Woolly hats might be in order.

Were you ever tempted to open his door, shout 'should of' and run away?

No such thing as 'should of' when I was at school/college ... it's a modern invention 🤣

My tank was filled in November ( 1,100 l in total ) and it ran out yesterday.
Everyone within 10 miles of here is using oil, or electricity for heating / hot water. No mains gas
