Fantastic ... thanks @didyw ... we'll listen in a bit ... still got the Today prog on catch up ... we tend not to watch the tv news (the pics in our heads are bad enough) we get much of our news from the Today prog.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I don't think I'll be sowing many seeds this year. No GH anymore and I'll be more in Norfolk this spring. The garden is much smaller and I've already filled it with plants. Having said that, I've remembered that I have several packets, from daughter 1, of wild flower seeds that I will be sowing in the ex donkey paddock at my French house. There is a big bare patch where the donkey used to play.
OH is taking me out to lunch today. The pub is very pretty, pink, thatched, beams and woodburner inside. Nice food but not the gourmet sort.
We went to Waitrose yesterday, OH wanted a change. Lovely food but more expensive. We met a couple of friends earlier and they asked us to drop in for a cup of tea on our way home which was nice.
It's been raining.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Beautiful day here. Sunny and frost on the hills. Not sure what I'm doing yet today but think it will be outside and blow the spring cleaning - again - I've gone off the boil with it.
Morning everyone, happy March. Miserable wet start here, yesterday's rain didn't arrive till evening so at least I got to the Allotments for a bit. My father had a clump of what he called gypsophilla, it was a perennial, he used it as backing for bunches of cut flowers.
Like the 'daffodils' @AuntyRach, we need something to make us smile at the moment. I am trying not to look at the news too often, but there are some heartbreaking stories out there at the moment.
I'll have a listen in a bit to the radio interview @didyw, I am just back from my physio and it's incredible how exhausting it is, I just lie there for 20 - 30 minutes or so and have little electric pulses, but honestly I could quite happily go back to bed. I have my coffee and toast and marmalade, just done Wordle - not relaxing today, and am now looking at my very long list of 'to do'.... a bit like you @Uff, enthusiam has gone off the boil. Steady away though, one job at a time, starting with the easiest possible.
Enjoy your lunch @Busy-Lizzie and good day to all.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
Just listened @didyw - you did brilliantly. Not easy facing unseen questions. And how amazing that you are using unused shop fronts to display local artwork - good for the artists and good for the vibe of the town too.
Got everything crossed for Mr @Busy-Lizzie on Thursday- lets hope this is the final hurdle.
Started feeling very grim yesterday - probably the worst I’ve been so far ☹️. Still testing positive. Feeling a bit down as I thought I was on the mend. I spoke (and posted on here) too soon. Hoping today is better.
Thank you @chicky! Just played it to my husband (had to find the Mark Murhpy breakfast show as the link leads to what is being broadcast live) and asked if my voice really does sound like that! He thinks it sounded a bit tinnier. But - so many ums and ers! Sorry to hear you are still feeling grim. From everything I've heard and read about Covid it does seem to take much longer than flu to recover from.
