    evening all.
    A productive afternoon spent weeding.
    Devon.
  • A nice bit of escapism then @Hostafan1.

Unbelievably,  another coach party have booked this afternoon, for two groups too.  :open_mouth:

Saw a wild boar crossing the road this evening, cool as a cucumber, just took it's time, from one open field to another, never seen one so close up before or in the open like that. Stunning looking creature, but I was glad to be in the car. I wish I'd had my camera handy. Sadly on Saturday night a small deer ran into me sideways on and from the damage to the car I don't think it would have survived, seems to be the dusk that is enticing them out. Waiting for the insurance assessor now, but luckily it is just the bumper and mudguards that are damaged, nothing to stop me driving. The man at the garage tied it all back together with cable ties. He is such a nice helpful man.

Right, dinner to organise, salad with chicken breast stuffed with mozzarela and wrapped in bacon.

    Have a good evening all.

I'm seeing quite a few March hares around here - there are always one or two, but unless it's the same one criss-crossing my path, there seem to be more this year  :) They aren't especially mad, that I've noticed. One looked a little tetchy but it's hard to say, really.

Bonkers day at work today. Far too many meetings and I'm not done yet, so better stop displacing on here and get on with it

Morning everyone. I slept very well after a dinner of chicken pie that Hubby made. 😜. Lots of little ones left for tonight. Yum!

We are off to town for our usual weekly shop. Our local newspaper arrives on Wednesdays, so that’s why it’s our town day. We didnt listen to the TV report on the budget last night, so it’ll be full-on today with the opposition party picking holes in it. 🙄 I hate all the rubbish that politicians come out with. We just live one day after the other.  Have a whinge about the high fuel prices, etc.
    sleep well Forkers.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Hope the shopping trip went well @Pat E  … it seems there’s not a lot any of us can do about rising prices these days … the world’s in turmoil. Let’s hope some sanity prevails soon. 🤞
Chicken pie sounds good. We’ll have a salmon quiche (made with tinned salmon) and salad this evening. I made the pastrycase yesterday.
First I’ve got tennis this morning. Hope my knee behaves itself.

    Good morning.

Gentle, steady rain today.  An indoors sort of day to relax.

    @Dovefromabove   Enjoy your tennis morning.
@Pat E   The petrol prices are rising again here after they decreased last week. I have a bike, but sometimes it's a car ride away.   We are again at 2euros15 per litre for diesel.

    Have a pleasant day everyone.

Morning everyone,  dull dp start here, noticeably cool.  It won't be long before the chancellors 5p cut is swallowed up by the rising fuel market,  half gone already at some outlets round here.

Morning all, sitting in bed with a second cuppa - helps to keep the cough subdued. Don't feel too bad this morning as had a good night's sleep - makes a world of difference.
Quite chilly this morning, only 7c when I got up but the sun's trying to break through the cloud. Might wander around the garden later if it warms up.

@Lizzie27 - oh dear, symptoms but negative test.  I would stay indoors and not mix with others if that was me; I've been reading that the LFTs can show false negatives in some cases.
Hope you are enjoying your tennis @Dovefromabove.  I was always hopeless.  As I was at all sports.  OH good at football and rugby until he discovered drumming but that gave him a good workout so kept him fit throughout his career.
Fingers crossed your hubby is OK today @Hostafan1 - thinking of you both.
