People used to joke about PRAVDA, the old USSR news agency. Why is millions of pounds of the BBC TV tax spent on the BBC World Service? The BBC is the biggest propaganda outlet in the world, pumping Western 'news' into every country in the world in their own language.

"propaganda" implies lies. Can you give a few examples of the lies told by the BBC on the World Service? Who do YOU trust to give honest , impartial news?
"This is an incredible scheme and we are doing everything possible, surging capacity across every single application centre across the EU," What on earth does surging capacity mean? I suspect it means looking busy, concerned and empathetic whilst doing bugger all.
More than 10,000 people from cities across Russia have been arrested for demonstrating against the war so the people do know about the war even that the authorities have suppressed news, they can suppress protests but not the truth.
I notice that Amazon seem to be keeping very quiet about doing anything to limit their activities in Russia. It will be interesting to see if people start to boycot companies that support the war or if we all carry on as normal.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I don't trust any news outlet. They all have their own agenda. If i want to know what the truth is, i'll watch how it is reported on many different sources. BBC, Aljazeera, RT, and various bloggers. The 'truth' is usually in there somewhere.
But how can you 'know' which version is true? We ALL have agendas - so you will sift through what you class as the evidence from the various sources and will come to a conclusion about what you think is correct based on your experiences and pre-conceived ideas. But that would no more make it true than my opinion using the same sources.
It's more complex than international law as well. The action that pd referenced was allegedly sanctioned by a UN resolution, that was in itself disputed in the way it was used to justify an action. Who decides? At some point China may police the world - will their view dictate what rules are used? Does power dictate the rules or lack of them?
But how do you know which of them is telling the "truth" ? A serious question. If you watch/read all those channels, if the majority give you the same facts, is that how you arrive at that decision? Truth in numbers, as it were ?
