    Evening all,ย
Hope you had a good birthday @Rubee
Hope you are feeling a bit better @Chivetalking
Went to art class this morning and then popped in for a cuppa with Bestie on the way home.
Sat watching TV this afternoon wrapped up in a blanket.ย  Have felt cold all day even though the heating is on.
    Keep warm and safe everyone.

Afties all. I actually got into the garden today as well as doing some jobs in the GH. Chive I have potted up my Eryngiums but I have to say that they were not the best examples of roots. I THINK that they may survive but I will be keeping an eye on them. We'll have to exchange notes on their development.
I agree with RosieBB Busy, the pub sounds delightful. I hope that you had a lovely meal. On Friday of this week is the Quizzers next lunch out - we are going Italian. My friend from Crewe is coming up to stay but I haven't heard anything from her yet.
Tomorrow I was supposed to be helping my friend from Canasta with her new phone but she discovered that the SIM card in her present phone is not compatible with her new phone so she has had to order a new nano SIM card. I might not get there this week. We'll see.
RosieBB, I hope that your Dad is comfortable now.
Yvie, you weren't there when I posted. Art class sounds interesting. Sorry to hear you have felt chilled all day. Have you a hot water bottle?

    Evening all,

It seems the tree feller fella was not a fella that wanted to fell a tree after all ;)ย

Anyway, we got somebody else to do it today as he was working a few doors up. Next news the police arrived due to a complaint from a neighbour who the tree had no affect on whatsoever :oย

    It's been an interesting afternoon!

R-a-a-f duties tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably get less grief :Dย

Evening everyone. Was wet through this morning and now it's very foggy, so very much an indoor day. Cut OH's hair, changed the bed, unblocked the bathroom sink and painted 6 of the 7 downstairs door frames (both sides) and half the hall skirting boards. I'll finish off tomorrow. Feel like I've earned my G&T tonight!

Rubee - a very Happy Birthday to you. I'm sure the best present would be the parts for your boiler so I hope they turn up very soon. Sorry to hear your OH is struggling again. Thoughts are with you both.ย

Chive - sorry to hear you're feeling grotty. I assume this is Covid and not 'just a cold'? Hope you turn the corner very soon.๐Ÿ™‚

Biglad - crumbs - are you posting from your cell?๐Ÿ˜Š

Painting door frames and skirting boards I think are the worst bits to do. Youย  definitely deserve your G & T @Topbird!ย ย

The drive to the pub is very pretty. There were lots of snowdrops on grass verges and pretty villages with old thatched cottages, several of them painted Suffolk pink. When we got to the pub the car park was full of horseboxes. The local hunt were out and had had refreshments this morning at the pub. We saw some of them returning before we left. They hunt a laid scent, not foxes. The meal was huge, we couldn't finish it, although we waited a bit then managed pancakes, no dinner tonight. I was going to make pancakes this evening, no room.ย

OH keeps hogging the laptop, we have just had words! I find my mobile so small and fiddly to type on. I usually get a good turn after he's gone to bed.

I would be if the plaintiff had come anywhere near me @Topbird :Dย

I think we've both earned our favourite tipples this evening!

Flipping heck Biglad, the cheek of it! You always find one don't you? I reckon I'm lucky where I am. There are only 6 houses (3 lots of semis) in my Crescent and all my neighbours are very nice. I've been here the longest.
T'Bird, how is the shoulder? I hope that you had your brace on when you were doing all that painting. Well done!
Busy, what a lovely report on your day. Glad you got your pancakes too.
