Good morning Rosie, debs, LB and all to follow.

Debs, weather is PITA to me too. I have sunshine, but it's bitterly cold. Have a nice day at work.

LB, have a lovely time with your bestie.

    Rosie, good luck at shopping.

I finished my tea and now is time for school. Calm a nd sunny morning, but as I said before, very cold. My friend will come this afternoon to help me with new wardrobe. I must fix it to the wall, and it's job for two. I should also plant shrub which I bought in Lidla two days ago. There was a lovely clemmies, and very cheap (only 2₤ a piece), but I don't have place for them. LB would buy it all for shure. 😁

Have a nice day and see you all later.

Hello all ... sorry to hear of poorly ones and family 'stuff' impacting on lives ... hope all settles soon.
Tennis was great yesterday ... it was as if the last two years hadn't happened ... although one of our regulars wasn't there as his heart had finally given out a couple of weeks ago ... his funeral was Tuesday but his widow came to tennis yesterday and is determined to 'just get on with life'.   During the pandemic I seem to have developed an amazing swerve on my serve ... if only I could control which direction the swerve was going in it would be even better.  Anyway, I am of course, stiff as a board today ... so a little light h*w*k and a few 'gentle stretches' are the order of the day.
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible, given the madness of the world ...

Good morning Debs, Ante, Ruby, Chive and Dove. You weren't there Debs when I posted - I wasn't ignoring you - honest! Debs, this weather we get at the moment is a total nightmare. Its ruined the bottom half of my garden which resembles a mud wallow presently. Taking the old shed down will help as the paving flags it stands on must be inhibiting the drainage. I'm itching to start on that project but unfortunately the ****** weather is putting a stop to outdoor work. Catch 22 situation.
RosieBB, I hope that you beat the crowds to the SM. When I was at 'sco the other day I noticed a sign saying that they are now having what they call quiet shop times every Wednesday and Saturday between 09:00 and 10:00 where they are going to dim the lights and reduce the noise at checkouts. I usually shop Mondays so have not really noticed this. Apparently it has been in operation since last year.
Ante, I hope that the wardrobe fixing later goes to plan with the help of your friend. Yes, the temptation of those clemmies would have been irresistible.
Hazel, stay strong. Thinking of you x
Sorry to hear about your tennis pal Dove and bless his wife for carrying on carrying on. The lady who coordinates the U3A Canasta I go to, used to have a group of friends who went round to her house to play but sad to say they have all passed away so she only gets to play twice a month now with the group.

    Morning all.

Thank you @Chivetalking. OH's lung function tests are this afternoon. I'll go with him.

OH's daughter rang. They were going to come for the weekend, we'd booked a table for Saturday lunch, but now she is bunged up with a cold so they aren't coming. He was looking forward to seeing his 2 grandchildren. She doesn't want to risk him catching it when he's seeing a lung consultant next week. We've changed the lunch booking for just us. He is disappointed but they'll come in April.

Afternon everyone. I have had a super day - no knitting of course. I was introduced to a new toy today - absolutely marvellous called a Toniebox. I have no affiliation to this item. An audio item for small people.
Busy. I'm sorry that your plans got scuppered but your OH's daughter made the right decision and, as you say, he will be able to see them next month. Hope the lung function tests have gone well and that next week's consultation is positive.
Ruby, I am sorry to hear about your OH's condition. It does not sound pleasant at all.
