Hi folks, Not a bad day here, sunny intervals but a bit chilly.  I've been out in the garden for a couple of hours and the right border is now ready to apply FBB.  Still got quite a bit to do despite having a 'man' in for a day but I think it's now achievable.  I left pots of cannas outside this winter as they are too heavy to keep hauling in and out of the greenhouse.  I wasn't expecting them to survive but there seems to be a few shoots so it looks like they are going to be OK.  Also managed to give the pond a bit of a clean without disturbing the frog spawn so all in all a successful morning.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

Sorry I missed a day was feeling a bit stressed and had an MRI scan yesterday but managed to take clothes for refuges lunchtime. Chive pleased to hear son is okay and you are feeling better.  Good for you both to spend time together.  Hazel good to hear mum in good spirits.  You’ll be glad workmen have gone.  Yvie enjoy making your rag rug.  I remember mum made one and it looked very homely.  LB I hope you and your friend from Crewe had a good time.  Ante I have been baking multigrain baguettes. Lily I hope your enjoying some sunshine.  Janet hope you also are having a good day.  Big lad I hope you can soon carry on with your planting.  Busy enjoy your lunch oh, sounds like you know some good places.
  • Hazel sounds like you had a wonderful time with him.  I can remember role playing with grandpa and being wise owl while he was big chief sitting bull, good memories.

What a lovely day it has been here today. I got Lily's TV on the go and the wet cloth things are outside. My heart was lifted by these sights around ny grape hyacinths and eranthis:

Lovely, LB, Ukraine flag colours too.

We enjoyed our lunch, good pub grub, lasagne for me, curry for him. There are good pubs in Norfolk and North Suffolk. Lots of beautiful old stone churches too and pretty villages with thatched houses.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Lovely descriptions of your day, everyone.
@Songbird-1 yes, I did have a storage box for all my things but it gradually fell apart- I've often thought about replacing it... and got no further!
@Busy-Lizzie I really must explore Suffolk again, such a delightful county.
Gorgeous photos, @Ladybird4, capturing the beauty of the small, colourful flowers.

    Afternoon all,

Tree stumps have been (largely) removed. He couldn't get his machine to a couple of them particularly well, but they're a couple of inches below ground level now so it's an improvement. He did take a small chunk out of one of the new fence panels :o but I'm just glad he turned up when he said and did a reasonable job. I removed the bottom section of a drainpipe so that he could get his machine through the gap at the side of the house - it squeezed through with millimetres to spare. I've reattached the drainpipe but they will all need replacing soon anyway.

I lined a planter whilst they were working and attached its 'legs' so another blueberry plant can move in to its 'forever home' ;)

Nice photos @Ladybird4. This afternoon I spotted the first flower from the 300 bulbs I planted this winter :)
