Hello all. Happy Birthday to Hazel's Mum and Deb's daughter.
We hadn't finished the shopping earlier this week as we planned to go today because OH's family were going to come for the weekend. Now his daughter is ill and they aren't coming we still have to go to the SM for a few things for us.

Afternoon. Just grabbing a cuppa before heading off to pick up Jonah and Gabriel from school and nursery. Been to Knit and Natter this morning. I've found the rag rug that I started a number of years ago, I was surprised that moths didn't fly out of the bag when I opened it as it's been ages since I did anything with it. The weather has brightened up this afternoon and hopefully we are in for a dry weekend and I can get a bit more done in the garden. Hope your window installation goes well today, when we had ours done they hardly made any mess at all. Topbird you seem to be having so many problems with your motorhome, my niece had a camper van and it spent more time in the garage than it did on the drive. Hopefully they will be able to sort it out this time. Happy birthday to those celebrating. 101 is an amazing age to reach. Glad you are feeling a little better Chive.
Hello everyone! I've been so busy I've only just realised I haven't been in for a day or two. Sorry. Yes, a very happy birthday to Hazel's mum and Debs's daughter. I hope they are having wonderful celebrations with those special to them. I'm pleased @Chivetalking is recovering well. Have a good weekend with your families everybody who will be spending time with them. I shall be hoping the cellar painting will be finished and then we can move onto the utility room next. It's like painting the Fourth Bridge here - neverending.
A friend from church has just popped round with a bunch of daffodils for us, a nice surprise.
I've just had a chat with CB, the handyman in France. My French house is OK and he's just mowed the grass. He assured me that he hasn't cut down any of the daffodils, which are now coming up. He's also done some strimmering. I'm going back next Saturday, but will have to babysit for Daughter 2 from Monday to Friday.

Afternoon All, been a damp dismal day here so the fire has been lit to make it feel cosy, Hazel It is lovely to hear your mum is sounding chirpy on her special day, hope the windows are progressing well, Busy Sorry to hear OH’s daughter is ill and it’s stopped the visit to you this weekend, I hope she soon improves, Topbird Hope you are progressing well with painting the skirting boards and your shoulder isn’t objecting too much, Yvie Nice idea to carry on making the rag rug you started before, hope you enjoyed knitting & nattering. Hope Jonah & Gabriel are both keeping well, Janet Nice to see you, you sound busy with painting it is a never ending job, one I’m always reluctant to start! Son is clear of the virus he’s had two negative results 🙌 It has been nice spending the days with him while we’ve both been at home, he’s been out to get his haircut today. Hope you have a nice evening everyone.
That's really good news about your son, @Chivetalking @Busy-Lizzie a bunch of daffs is the most cheery thing, isn't it? The baby sitting sounds like fun.
Nutjob Neighbour had somebody trimming some of his trees from 8.30am this morning. Makes him ringing the police to complain about somebody doing the same thing even harder to understand and forgive!
Got the stump removal chap coming tomorrow. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and I can start to populate the border across the back of the garden. If NN sticks his neb in, he might end up going through a chipper machine
Good Evening All, Thank you Janet & Hazel. Busy Daffodils are a lovely cheery sight and I love the scent, hope you get to see yours still flowering in France after you return from babysitting, Hazel Brrr hope you’ve both warmed up now, the new glazing sounds as though it will be effective for keeping the heat in. Shame about the patio handle and broken glass unit, but atleast they’re arranging to put that right for you.
Biglad Hope all goes well with the stump removal tomorrow and you don’t need a NN removal too 😉
