Sorry to hear the energy company saga is dragging on - I suspect there is a huge backlog of cases for them to work through. I can't remember if you've looked at the Citizens Advice website or not. They have some useful guidelines as to what is legally required and reasonable / unreasonable to expect in terms of service. They list the avenues to pursue and offer some formal letters to use if things are not proceeding as they should.
