Hazel, I hadn't heard of it either and was quite shocked when I saw the price but was very impressed with the item. There are lots of little figures, that when placed on the top of the box, activate a story. We listened to the Gruffalo. It would be nice for a child to listen to at night.

  • Back from sm and visited Rubee and oh and caught up on missed sleep.   This afternoon I’ve been packing some new clothes to go to Ukrainian women.  Good to do something.  Hazel sending a hug.  LB I like the sound of the quiet shopping hour.  It can be quite bright in sm so muted lighting would be helpful.

Evening all. Sorry to hear some of you are having lots of Marti days. We had one yesterday but today it's been wall to wall sunshine. With no breeze it felt positively spring-like this morning.

Should have done some gardening really but we're both feeling a tad fed up so went out for lunch instead. We went to the farm shop @Dovefromabove sometimes uses - it was very very good. Also found my favourite Baron Bigod cheese on the deli counter. It's a local cheese - much like Brie de Meux, rather smelly and super runny.😋

We're both a bit fed up because OH went to collect the m/home yesterday but after 10 miles it developed the same problem as before - so it's back at the garage. They're rather stumped as they'd done all the right stuff plus a very long road test. They are now liaising with Fiat experts to try to find a solution. Fortunately they seem like a nice bunch of guys who genuinely want to do a good job. They have been better than most at keeping in touch. After a wasted day with over 6 hrs of driving, OH was ready for more relaxing pursuits today.

BL - hope all has gone well for you today.

Rubee - I know how painful and difficult to manage your OH's condition can be. Thoughts are with you both.

Chive - hope you're starting to feel a little brighter.🙂

I'm sorry about your OH @Rubee. It sounds very unpleasant.

OH said the tests seemed to go OK but he has to see the Consultant next week for the results. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, all the disabled places were taken, I had to drop him then look for a space. All the parks were full but I managed to find spaces in the staff car park and got away with it.

RosieBB, that is a nice thing to do. I've been donating to the DEC appeal. Wish that there was more I could do.
T'Bird, I am so sorry to hear that the m/home is still struggling and its good to know you have a helpful team trying to find out what all the trouble is. Going out to lunch seems like a comforting thing to do. If it helps make you feel any better, after 5 months I am still no nearer to sorting out my energy supplies. Bless the EHU for still being on my case.
Busy, its an unnecessary added stress trying to get yourself parked at hospitals. When I had to go to The Christie for radiotherapy they had a designated car park for radiotherapy patients. You needed a code to punch in which was changed every week. I had to attend for four weeks (not counting weekends) so it was just as well they gave me the weekly code printed on a little card. I am notoriously c**p at remembering anything like that. As for passwords - forget it (which I do with a monotonous regularity!), I just ask for a new one each time. Thank goodness my browser saves the important ones for me.

Rubee, I'm sorry to hear about your OH diagnosis. It certainly unpleasant for him.

Hazel, hope that your OH visit to dentist will not be painful. We managed to fix wardrobe to the wall, and had only one small "coffee".

LB, i'm glad that you had a nice time with your bestie. First time I hear for Toniebox and must check what it is.

It was lovely and sunny day. I wasn't outside much because there was a lot to do inside. I'll go to bed soon and get rest for Friday.

Wish you all goodnight and sweet dreams.

  • Hazel an early start for you and well prepared.  I hope all goes well for oh at the dentist.  I’ve baked some bread hence the later post.   I’m wrapped up under a throw and Alfie’s fast asleep.  I’m late to bed as waiting for bread to cool.  Goodnight everyone, rest well.  Talking to a friend today and having a catch up.
  • Morning all, just having some tea.  A little chilly.  I hope you slept.
