Why is there no pro-level crazy golf? All that boring long distance 18 hole stuff and not a windmill or pirate ship in sight. Such a waste.

On the other hand @wild edges OH does enjoy seeing hoopoes and cranes and herons and red squirrels and so on whilst playing on his home course and there be windmills about tho mostly now in ruin following their use by rebels as a sort of semaphore to tell others where the revolutionary forces were whilst Napoleon and co pillaged, raped and slaughtered their way thru the Vendée which wanted to keep its priests and churches.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I've only seen a hoopoe at the zoo. Ralph Steadman's version is my favourite though. Popped into my head after seeing the birds in the Sense of Humus thread.

Just listened to Sue Barker on R4 - what a lovely woman - why on earth did they get rid of her (and the team) from QoS and turn it into a lad/ladette prog?
No idea. She and the others were doing so well. We refuse to watch it now.

Very simple answer.  The show was extremely popular, but decided non-PC.  Sue Barker was far too old for the Yoof audience.  Reason enough for the BBC to destroy it.
I've also just read the the BBC has cancelled 'Eat Well for Less' and 'Shop Well for Less'.  Surely two programmes which fulfil virtually all of the BBCs purposes of informing, entertaining and educating.  Then again, what do I know?

I've cleaned some windows this morning @Obelixx, not sure that will help you up there though, more likely to give us more rain here!

OH has decided to do some long overdue work on the garden steps he partly built some years ago. Apparently can’t work round ‘clutter’ so he moved the pots that have been living next to the steps, including my little fig tree in its pot, which was nowhere in the way, and not far from the door so I could keep an eye on it, and for ease of watering.
He has put it down near the garage door, and when I saw it this morning, four of the seven developing figs have gone, and one of the ones left is partially detached. I’m a very sad bunny, and very cross. No point arguing with OH, his empathy level is somewhere around zero, or lower, but I feel like throwing in the towel re the garden.
Will go and do some laundry and sulk.

Sounds like he doesn't give a flying fig :(
