Same here, I wouldn't have responded to the text. I wouldn't have got in touch with the credit card company either. Just goes to show.

Hubby had his credit card cloned in Malaysia. Virgin Credit called and told him about it, but they knew all his transactions . They just wanted to confirm where he was as purchases  were made in Surrey and Paris within half an hour of each other.
The sent him his statement and asked him to cross off the purchases he hadn't made.

Well, I went to make a cup of tea, came back, and the transgender debate had disappeared. Funny old world.
Did it jump, or was it pushed?

It is a funny old world pansyface. Such topics usually end in tears (metaphorically speaking) and can cause a right old rumpus on a forum but debate shouldn't be stifled. I know this is mainly a gardening forum but if a topic is in The Potting Shed then it has nothing to do with gardening.
    Just my opinion of course.

Earthworms are good in a garden … a can of worms in a gardening forum? Maybe not so good 😉

I agree Dove but do we have to be careful what topics we start now? If the moderation is good then trouble can be diverted.

I think publishing houses are particularly wary of ‘the gender debate’ at the moment.

I think someone must have complained. I get the impression that we're not monitored that closely. Maybe there's alerts to key words.

We are indeed monitored - just not necessarily  by those who "run" the forum ;)
