We had several doses of drizzle and light rain,  no storm.  Ground barely damp, as it was so warm most just evaporated away.

You know  when you might say: you're  talking bolxxx
Henceforth  in our household, and perhaps the entire English  speaking  world,  it will be:
    You are talking Boris
I wonder how many of his children Boris talked to today?

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

OH had a good Fathers' day.  He left early to play in a sponsored competition, came home for an hour or so afterwards then left again to go to the prize giving.  He'd only won!   Came home with a huge bottle of red wine, a whole cured leg of Savoy ham and a thumping great lump of Beaufort cheese.

Very nice you might say but now I have to find out what to do to use and also store well said whole leg of ham.

Bad form to correct a new member's grammar - or anybody's, if it comes to that . Thought I'd  vent here rather than make an issue of it on the offending thread.

Not sure if anyone here is coming up to pensionable age and has a private pension fund, but if there are any, it may be worth checking your fund. I officially retired in Feb and decided to leave my private pension fund in for another year or so. Not a wise move. It was never a massive pot anyway, but now it's a fer lesser pot!
