That’s a shame … but you usually have it better than us … and it is jolly windy here 🌬

Thanks for your kind comments @Lizzie27. We both have it now so we’re confined to barracks but edging towards recovery. One small merit is no chance of going out, there are often Friday evening events, so I got to see Gardeners’ World. I know it’s on catch up but I think there’s less fizz to the programme if not watched ‘live’.

@BenCotto .Glad you're both reasonably okay.  I actually watched GW tonight because it was mainly from GW show at the NEC and enjoyed it. Have to confess that Frances's show garden was not to my taste but her enthusiasm is very engaging.

Kept meaning to ask you if your village Jubilee event went well? You were organising it I believe.

I think you're right @Obelixx, must do some online research first.
Couldn't cope with 44c heat at all, I'm struggling with 28c today.

No, we organised the village Ukraine fundraiser. We were delighted with the community involvement: just over 200 residents and over £2500 raised for DEC Ukraine.

The village picnic took took place in the church which doubles as our village hall and pub. Again there was massive community togetherness but our involvement was only as participants. It was a memorable day.

Two reasons to be curmudgeonly today.  Our TV has decided to turn itself into a radio.  Sound but no picture, and it's only 2 years old.  Thankfully 5 years warranty so I can chase on that.  Secondly it's the birthday party for my sister-in-law's grandson today, starting at 2pm and he's supposed to be having a bouncy castle.  Forecast is for heavy rain all afternoon.

Swap @KT53?  35C here already and another 2.5 hours to go before the sun hits its zenith and then a peak of heat around 5pm.   Nice breeze now too.

Set to break overnight tho and get to normal mid 20s tomorrow.

Frustrating about the TV and, I daresay, the bouncy castle if they can't use it.

Had similar with our TV @KT53. I suppose you’ve done the usual with unplugging it and everything attached to it.
I contacted the Samsung help line via messenger,  very helpful and they get back to you straight away.

We have the same from time to time sometimes a picture and no sound, we unplug it from the mains etc, we think ours is something to do with the Humax box.

I unplugged it earlier and haven't yet tried to plug back in.  Our other TV quite regularly loses sound and that is only fixed by removing the power lead and reconnecting.  I'm hoping it will fix this one, although the TV it replaced is still in the loft and may work as a temporary replacement if necessary.
