    @rowlandscastle444 we do have rules . No c*ts No bre*it. No b*kes.
Why no cats? They are delightful furry animals!! :)

Cats aren't a problem per-se.  It's the packages they leave behind after visiting gardens which create deep and meaningful discussion.
and the corpses they leave behind

I was taken out for a meal to a very nice restaurant this evening and the meal was spoilt by two badly behaved children who were allowed to run riot, scream and shout, play about with cutlery and glasses on their table and be most unruly whilst their two mothers did absolutely nothing to keep them under control.
Believe me I was very curmudgeonly.

A few years ago one of the brats charging around our local pub came round the corner at speed and planted their face hard against my knee.  According to its mother I was to blame, despite the fact that I was standing completely still in a queue.

I used to pick up such packages from the lawn with an old trowel, and lob them back next door, since I knew their cat was the culprit.

The only time I had to laugh, was when I was over enthusiastic in my lob, and it ended up 3ft up their fence on the other side of the garden. It certainly resulted in head scratching by the neighbour.

I've not tried that trick since - and we moved from there 21 years ago.

Someone local puts their dog sh*t in black bags and leaves them at the base of the street trees. If I see who it is, I will seriously consider following them to see where they live and return the bags to sender.

I thought this thread was for moaning about anything which is annoying you at the time.
My particular curmudgeon today is learning from the local news that Somerset is one of the worst areas in the SW for cases of cruelty to wildlife tho it appears that such instances are rising countrywide.  The increasing use of catapults was mentioned.  Playing football with Hedgehogs also came up but sadly that is nothing new.
Oh and the weather is something to gripe about too ( when isn't it ) - 1st snow for 8 or 9 years.  The only advantage I can see is that it reflects light  ;)

I appear to have offended some posters with my earlier post. I do apologise although I did think it was a polite request. I surrender😂
I was very busy yesterday so didn't get time to reply to your post, I should have made time because I agreed with you. No need to apologise, you were polite, don't surrender even with a smile.
I wouldn't read this thread if it got bogged down with politics.
I remember a while ago another member requested that politics be put into the Politics thread and no one shouted her down.

No chance that your knee "twitched" - just slightly of course  @KT53 ?   :D;)

Isn't the Politics thread for discussing politics and here is for grumbling about the governent?

There are only 3 NOs on this thread. Other than that, discuss, moan , grouse about anything you (don't) like. The three NOs have caused upset in the past so that's why they're not encouraged but not banned either.
I think @Busy-Lizzie got it about right - but that's just my opinion.

Thanks @B3, after all you started this thread. I've just looked back at the first page, no NOs mentioned. What are they?

Sent you an explanatory pm @Busy-Lizzie. Trying to move on from navel gazing and back to serious curmudgeonly business 😉
