It's certainly not easy to determine the provenance of machines nowadays.  :/
The annoying thing is that we all need a washing machine, so they've got us over a barrel.
Maybe a barrel, with a washboard, would be better....

Oh dear, bought a new Samsung washing machine not that long ago. Hope it behaves better than yours. The previous zanussi ran well for over 12 years.
Currently exchanging emails with Beko re the new tumble dryer. Doesn’t seem to be able to cope with a king size cotton duvet cover, no matter what setting I choose. The instruction book has pictures that don’t relate to the control panel on my machine, and there is no mention of what one of the switches is for. At least the English in the instruction book is of a rather better standard than the booklet with my Samsung  fridge freezer. That was frankly laughable.

  • Ours is a Miele, as is the tumble dryer   I know they are expensive to begin with but, Ours have been fault free.
My gripe,  I have just spent £50 on slightly over 1/2 a tank of fuel.  Next nearby place over 5p a litre more. Bl**dy Putin.

We're happy with our Miele too. Got it because the man who condemned our elderly Bosch said that was the one he had.
    It's spookily quiet too
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Similar for me the other day @Allotment Boy. £40 for just over half a tank.  I use Sainsbury for fuel. Even though it's a few miles further away - it's still cheaper to go there. Our local garage is currently £1.56 [bar a penny] for diesel, 3 pence less for petrol.  :|

It's a PITA just having to add hot water to the washing machine as it is. At least the thing runs at the moment. I'd be even more miffed if it wasn't washing at all.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

  • My wife had to put fuel in the other car as well , as she is back taking GD to college a couple of days a week.  So between us we've just spent over £100 quid on unleaded.  I know it will last us both about 3-4 weeks but lord knows how much it will be next time, & we are hardly going anywhere.

  • What a difference it's made to the mileage we've used when we filled the car with E5 instead of E10.

I know E10 is supposed to be 'greener', but surely getting significantly more miles out of a car burning E5 would be better.

Interesting.  How much difference are you seeing?
