Taking advantage of the posts deluge workable clay window of opportunity, a robin attended. He went for the worms but I wish I could introduce him to the delights of worms with a side dish of allium and oxalis bulblet relish.

I just read about an event that's happening in Wales. The write up includes the following:
The instructions are: Leave London. Head west. Stop when you hit water.
I guess this isn't aimed at locals then. It seems like it might just have been a better idea to hold it in London :/

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Those instructions work for the Bristol channel too don't they @wild edges ?  You may get off scot free in Wales then.

There might be the odd river or blocked drain on the way. I think Wales is safe from invasion.

The thought of a bunch of townies sat around puddles wondering what the fuss is all about with this Welsh malarky has quite cheered me up. This isn't the place for that sort of behaviour and you should all be ashamed of yourselves o:)

Easter weekend is the first opportunity of the year to watch the news and wonder why anybody thinks sitting in queues on the motorways is a good idea. :D

Most of the schools round here started their holidays last weekend,  they will all be going home on Easter weekend,  so you might have missed your fun.

We have the joy of the Xmoor Enduro this weekend. Dozens of people on scramble bikes tearing around a course that is several miles long and basically wraps right around our house. It's like having a swarm of giant demented wasps buzzing around for 2 days. And it's made much worse because they do it now, through all of our woodland just as the birds are nesting, ripping up the ground and turning it all into a mud bath for weeks.
And that's before I get started on the pointless waste of fossil fuels and the rubbish they leave and the microplastics from all the plastic tape they use to mark the course and don't clear away so it just flaps itself to death all summer.
