This isn't curmudgeonly but maybe there's a curmudgeonly cloud expert.
There's a really weird cloud formation in the NE sky over my part of London. The clouds are all radiating in straight lines from a central point like sun rays. I assume the central point is close to the horizon but there's a house in the way.
They're the thin clouds that normally form roughly horizontal lines.
What could have caused this phenomenon?

I asked a cloud expert friend what this was and this is her answer.

They are often known as Cloud Streets and usually made up of lines of alto-cumulus which maybe roughly parallel.  This means that when you are under them and looking towards the horizon they begin to look as though they are meeting a point beyond the horizon.  However, as with all parallel lines, they never actually meet but they may spread to look as though they do.  If you Google cloud streets and alto cumulus there will be loads of links explaining how and why they are formed.  That way you can get as much or as little info as you want!

Grrr! Made a special detour to Waitrose to try and use the vouchers I printed out before they expire. Unfortunately I had printed out the wrong thing, and they couldn’t accept them. Not my fault that I printed out the wrong thing, they have made it especially difficult to work out how you are supposed to use the vouchers if you don’t have a smartphone.
Now I’m really cross! I don’t suppose they realise I am only 2 miles from a Sainsbury’s store, but have been travelling further to shop at Waitrose for the past 16 years. Takes a while to build up company loyalty, but easy to destroy in a fraction of the time. I’ll be composing another email to customer services, once I’ve cooled down enough to restrain myself from using bad language.

I had a voucher last week,  I took a screenshot on my iPad and they accepted that.

A couple months ago I got an automated call from my bank, I remember it asked me quite a few questions to confirm who I was, then I was put through to a real live person. Can't remember what they did to reassure me they were genuine, but I was guarded at the first.

Someone had tried to use my card, my numbers came up through a computer program that randomly chose numbers. (Why doesn't this work with the lottery computer :/) and proceeded to buy something under £10 (I think), it was a phishing exercise. Luckily the bank's computer program caught the transaction, but they needed to make sure it wasn't me. They stopped my card and issued me a new one with a new number.

I was really pleased the bank were suspicious as the thief would have made another transaction to clean me out! It's such a pain though having new debit card numbers, and shocking how many companies I've willingly let them hold my bank number.

I just received a catalogue from Sarah Raven ( not sure why as I have never used them ) but rather dismayed to see that they are selling Fire Bowls - supposedly for enabling you and your guests to enjoy a nice cosy evening in the garden ?
I've no doubt they are not alone in flogging this particular horse but makes you wonder what happened to the use of clothing appropriate to the weather never mind the rather pointless burning of fuel simply to warm the air.

I think the fire bowls are more of a focal point to sit around than useful heating. I don't see the point myself.

    Glad that worked, @Lyn
Unfortunately, it appears I would still have taken a screenshot of the wrong page, and had to lug my iPad into the store with me. ( I’ve taken to travelling light since lockdown started, phone, mask, credit and Waitrose cards, and hand sanitiser! )
Done a few experiments since I got home, followed the instructions given to me by the nice store assistant, and will hopefully be able to print off next weeks offerings.

It’s the bar code they need from the vouchers.  Usually.
