    My oh decided to power wash the patio when I had 2 lines of washing out.

    For power washing a patio you need to use one of these https://www.kaercher.com/uk/accessory/t-5-t-racer-surface-cleaner-26440840.html  They retain the water within the head and prevent the problems experienced if using a lance.  I only use the lance at the end, on low pressure to push any remaining crud into the gutters.

    I use one of those @KT53 but you have to make sure you hold it down well! They have a tendency to act like a hovercraft.

    They certainly do, and if you get bits of stone under them they can be fired out as well.  Still much better and cleaner than using a lance.

    My wife is approaching State Pension age so checked the process on line.  The first page on the relevant section of the gov.uk site states - "If you have not received an invitation letter, but you are within 4 months of reaching your State Pension age you can still make a claim." 
    She continued through a couple of screen to one where her DOB was requested.  When she entered her DOB she was informed that she can't get the invitation code because she is more than 3 months from retirement age!
    What an utter shambles, not that I'm surprised.

    @lyn yes sorry I should have said, I need to remember to go through Samsung Google and not chrome tho, I tried with chrome too but it was much more fiddly.

    OH was using one of those and still managed to make my washing all spotty.

    Hi @KT53,

    My OH is 4 months from getting the State Pension. He got his invitation code through the post last week, and was able to go online to claim his pension. 
    So your wife might be getting a letter soonish.
