Isn't DEET the stuff that melts plastic?

Just looked at the M and S website, first thing I see is back to school uniform! Most of the poor souls haven’t even broken up yet!

When I was a child, it happened towards the end of August. So depressing😞

I know it's evil, but wouldn't it be interesting to watch the botoxed plastic people melt into reality.

I haven't tried spraying DEET on plastic, so I wouldn't know...  I do know that it doesn't taste good, but it does what it says on the tin as far as biting insects are concerned.  I know others swear by the Avon product but it just didn't work for me.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

The Avon product didn't work for me either. In deepest Highland country and even here in woodlands on a sultry day Smidge works. Needs reapplying but it's made from natural stuff.
