I know I know,  I've been moaning about the lack of rain, but I  need to get to plots to water the greenhouse.  We've just had a hailstorm,  front and rear lawns are white!

I suppose you could sweep it onto plants that need it most if you're quick enough.

I'm just reading through the specifications for a hydraulic-lift trolley for a pet crematorium. The trolley has a safe working load of 350kg which they say is suitable for pets up to the size of a large dog. Now my border collie isn't exactly a small dog but weighs 16kgs when wet so I had to Google what the record heaviest dog was and apparently 142.7kg (22.5 stone) is as big as they come. The extra 200kg safety allowance seems like a bit of overkill really. I'd hate to be the person who has to clear up after a dog twice my weight too :#
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

When I checked this morning there was rain in the forecast (90% probability). We've had about three spits and now it's gone from the forecast. I'm getting really fed up of over-optimistic weather forecasts

The rainfall at the moment is extremely patchy; how much you get is a lottery.

We've had two of our dogs cremated and neither of them had a coffin. Or a service.

350kg would be enough for both our dogs and both of us all together and still have a healthy safety margin of about 50%. True, our dogs (and OH) are skinny, but even for structural engineering (think of a number, multiply by 4) that seems like a bit of over-design. Maybe they're planning to expand the range a little into goats and ponies?

But he promotes gardening, which is what the RHS does.
