Long loppers to trim plants in your side of the fence. They can be quite difficult to control😉

That was my reaction. Why? Obviously done with a 'person' with some basic gardening knowledge.

We took the kids to the natural history museum in Cardiff this week and on a scaffolding hoarding at the side of the building Extinction Rebellion had painted a mural describing the risk from rising sea levels to cities like Cardiff. A fairly harmless mural and so nicely done that people were stopping to take photos with their families. But a faction from Morons United, or whatever the climate change denying anti-vaxxers are calling themselves now, had scrawled all over it with compelling slogans such as 'climate scam' and 'convid'. I suspect these are the same people who would rather salt the earth than save it. They're probably concocting a conspiracy theory already that she did it herself to steal the charity money or something.

This has just been on our local news. As so often I think my wife may have sussed the motive. It seems as well as her own garden she and other volunteers have taken on a semi derelict Allotment site. I  can't remember the details but if an Allotment site is unused for a period of time (can't remember the timings) it can be ripe for development.  Her and now my guess is some greedy bas**** developer is trying to get their hands on it.

My oldest boy needs to go to hospital for blood tests but the GP can't get hold of anyone there to book it. They've given us the phone number and told us to keep ringing until we get an answer but so far no luck. It's not terribly urgent but I feel for other people who aren't so lucky and can't get help.

They can't take blood at the GP surgery because no one there is trained to do it on the under 7s. Annoyingly they won't just let me get my sister to do it and hand them the syringe.
