@Pat E my son lives in Gympie, spent Friday night in his car as road was impassable due to the floods and was only able to get home yesterday by boat. Last time they had floods like this was 1893!
  • Morning all,

Good news @Hostafan1, great to know you have the support of such a kind friend.

You're an early bird @Yviestevie, that bit of gardening has definitely geed you up.

@Suesyn, your poor son, a scary experience for him.

Lovely sunny start, but another frost, it did warm up nicely yesterday though and people did use the terrace, so nice to see, and all the spring bulbs are coming up. The last two years they have bloomed with no-one to see them because of the lockdown so it is especially cheering to see 'normality' has resumed. :)

Off to cook the Sunday Roast now, quite a few booked, so best get a move on. Have a good day all.

Suesyn, he’s one probably on of the many rescues I’ve seen on tv. Hope he’s ok. Hubby’s sister is just north of Caloundra, so not much better off.  We haven’t heard from her today.  Will ring after the evening news.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    Bless your friend @Hostafan1 🤗
Hope you find OH more settled today.
Sunday roast sounds good @D0rdogne_Damsel  🍽
We have sunshine again … and a touch of frost …
Fingers very crossed for those in the Aus floods 🤞

Morning all. Lovely day here. A bit more spring cleaning to ease my conscience and then out in the garden and then take his nibs for a walk, a woodland one I hope.

Good morning everyone.  Bright and sunny again with a frost to start but warming up now.   After a day off cos of wobbles I'm hoping to get the last coats of paint on the doors and doorways and another on the radiator cover.

No gardening for me today then but OH has been weeding in the veg plot so, after a good raking (why does he never do that?) I can plant some shallots and think about sowing phacelia as a crop for pollinators.

Chooks are doing well.  The healthy 3 got into the cabbage patch yesterday which made them easy to catch for their meds.  Polly in the polytunnel has been on a bigger dose plus water squirted down her throat to stop her being dehydrated and yesterday we found her eating when we went to see her.   Still very light but looking better.

Hope all the roast dinners go well @D0rdogne_Damsel.   Roast belly pork for us this evening - the only cut that comes with crackling here - and some kale and PSB from the garden plus carrots roasted with ginger.

Glad you have some wheels @Hostafan1.

Hope all your friends ad family caught up in the floods are OK @Pat E and that you are getting some rain but not too much.
