    Good morning all.
Hubby's rekindled love of food has pushed his weight from 8 stone 10 up to 10 stone 2
    Bless'im.
I'm sure his improved "state" has helped me sleep. I've had between 8 and 9 hours every night for  a week.
Hugs to all who need one. Have a great holiday @D0rdogne_Damsel and Charlie. Well deserved.
I hope @chicky et al are having  a great time.
@Fairygirl and @Dovefromabove, I thought of you both when I turned over from Divine Comedy on Radio 2, to listen to a bit of Swan Lake on Classic FM.

    Devon.

    Great news on Hubby @Hostafan1!
I popped back to post this which made me chuckle:

  • Hello all!  Lovely to have good news from @D0rdogne_Damsel and @Hostafan1.   :)

Re Spring, @didyw - here in Ireland they say spring starts in February.  If the length of my "lawn" is anything to go by, they're right... it's certainly (mostly) mild, though often distinctly damp...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Hi all

    that is fantastic news @Hostafan1.
Very mild again, so hope to get a few jobs done, just need to remember, I am not as fit as I used to be.

That is really good news @Hostafan1, yes It's certainly easier to sleep when your mind isn't in turmoil.
I've come in from the garden it's too b****y cold out there, a biting wind and cloud, so i'm going to see if I can find out hoe to construct a half wall in a walk in shower, any ideas anyone?

Morning folks, good news both Punkdoc and Hosta. Quick dip in here. Went to seafront Hotel for coffee with friend, and posh village"local". Hubby bought himself a gizmo to attach ladder to apex tiles (bungalow) cleaned moss checked roof,in a t shirt, people. Sarky neighbour (you all know about) made usual purile comments. Was going to go on the defensive as usual. Then thought no. So I said he's in his elements up there,he's a roller coaster addict, which is true,he really is!  said neighbour has had his conservatory roof cleaned just twice in 6 years, surely, your home is the most expensive thing you will ever purchase, you want to keep it in good condition.  He doesn't actually do anything for himself,"gets people in",on the cheap. Oh Dove, the reason the bungalow is sideways is something to do with the earth being flat!!
  • Phonesultation done and X ray organised at local cottage hospital. I can go out for lunch now.
we want to buy a tiered wooden planter standing on 2 A frame ends; the search continues...

Glad to hear things are moving on @Penny_Forthem (whoops!  nearly called you something else then! 🤣)

We need to get out gutters etc done @Nanny Beach ... we had all new ones after we moved in, but it's time they had a seeing to.

    Hello from chilly grey Dordogne.

That's a much better weight for a man @Hostafan1, glad for you both and good news that you are sleeping better.

I'm late here today because the man came to install a Linky, Smart Meter. Electricity was cut off for a bit. He was booked for this afternoon but he said they told him anytime. Lucky I heard the bell for the electric gate. Did some dusting while he was here.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Ah, there you are @Busy-Lizzie  :D
