Ah - but the organising skills came first 🤣

I was actually the most disorganised (and thus the most discombobulated) when presented with tiny beings that refused to respect any timetable, or do anything predictable. Going with the flow became an acquired life skill …… but never my go-to setting 😜

    Morning all.
Last week I lodged a formal complaint via Lloyds Insurance about my dealings with their underwriter.
Got home this morning to a rather grovelly message from the claims handler. She's just called back and tried to cover up her shortcomings.
" can I mark this complaint as resolved "
"No, not yet. Let's just see how things progress from now on "
    I reckon she's had " a ticking off ".
    No less than she deserves.

I've also told the manager of the Home that I want to speak to the GP who is responsible for Hubby.
He's been there for 7 months and never has the GP laid eyes on him. Not good enough.

    Beware, I'm kickin' ass

    Hugs to all

    Go get 'em @Hostafan1!
They've called to reschedule the interview for between 8.15 and 8.25 tomorrow am @Dovefromabove.
Just back from meeting a friend in town, now to crack on with the massive page-layout job I've got on.  The house is a tip but we need this done so we can get in published in time for the Queen's Jubilee.  And possible inclusion in the Suffolk Festival.

  • You go for it @Hostafan1.
We always cook from scratch too, but we tend (mostly,) to do things that can be cooked in 30-40 mins so don't need that much prep. I even did when I lived alone.  I think growing my own veg all my life means I want to use it and at least we know what's in it. O

Good afternoon (down here) to you all.

Patience @chicky   I am going to tidy out my plastic greenhouse/potting shed this afternoon in "anticipation".  I hope your next test is negative!!  Glad you got the refund on your trip to Iceland.

Beautiful Monday today.  Sunny, still but still a little cool breeze.  Got the lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom vacuumed, dusted and polished furniture.  Then with OH a trip to the tip to dispose of the broken tiles from the garage roof that were ripped out about 3 weeks ago in a very windy day.  So being "on a roll", I thought I'd get into the potting shed.

That's a bit rich @Hostafan1  Your OH has been in the Home and the GP hasn't even visited once??!!  A bit off!!

I'm an organised person too @Dovefromabove  Always have been.  Ever since I can remember.  Word War II parents' upbringing?  Budget conscious, jobs lined up - that's me.  I rarely have a lie down if there are "things" to do.

    Enjoy your afternoon everyone.

    Morning all.

You sound like a whirlwind of busyness @Dovefromabove, maybe we should swap names! But I have cleaned the bathroom this morning and washed and hung up a load of towels and sheets. I changed the bed a couple of days ago.

@Hostafan1   Shouldn't have chosen that sort of profession, then!!

    Hi all

    Dreich here.
Been into town book shopping this morning. Actually quite nice when there are no people about and you can park exactly where you want.
Ducks are getting very friendly on the pond, so we may get a family this year. Problem is they are usually terrible parents, letting the young get into the stream, before they are able to cope with the current, one year I spent hours standing in the stream, rescuing the babies, only for them to all end up back in it again once I had given up.
How can you lie there and think of England
