    Can you remind of the plant you gave me when you were last here? The label has faded. Sorry. <3
    Arisaema tortuosum ... Whipcord Cobra Lily ............ at least that's what I was told when I was given the original plant and that's what it looks like.

  • Result on the tiered planter - sort of.
    We went to the big GC near Chester, who didn't have what we wanted at all, so drove home via the small local GC, intending to 'bite the bullet' and pay (they don't accept GC vouchers). On arrival, saw 20% off everything!

    Well done @Penny_Forthem. I'm hoping to get two big blue pots next week. Will try the big GC first and if no success, will detour to a small independent - or the other way round.

    Feel rather tired now as have done two stints in the garden. I have finished weeding the main flower bed, masses of speedwell seedlings this year, must be this year's weed of the year. Hyacinths are just breaking through, much to my surprise.

  • Respect to those of you who’ve been out there gardening … too cold and wet for me … hopefully some dry weather and spring sunshine will tempt me out there by early March. It’ll have to manage without me until then. I’ve done enough working in the freezing cold and wet weather when we had a smallholding, and I have great respect for @WonkyWomble and others like her who have chosen a career which means they’re out there earning a crust in all weathers.

    Now I’m tucked up in bed so night night all … sleep tight 😴

     Morning all.  You’ve all been so busy, that I feel a bit guilty, but I at least have finished knitting a dog coat for a friend in Melbourne and done some more knitting on a scarf.  The dog coat nearly drove me bonkers. I needed a set of 4 needles to finish off the armholes and couldn’t find where I’d neatly put them somewhere safe.  Struggled with full size needles which had to be reversed every row because they only had one point. 😡  By the time I’d finished I was in a bad mood. I’ve enclosed the pattern with the coat and let her know that next time she can knit on herself. 🙄

    I might add that after I finished the dog coat, I found my careful hiding place of the double ended needles.👏👏. Der.

    well overnight Hubby’s results from the covid tests came back and he’s clear also, so my effort to make sure we had enough food in case we had to isolate for a week were not needed, but at least that was one worry sorted.

    Obelixx I love hearing about your chooks. 😁

    We have a very ‘pink all over ‘sky this morning.
    @Pat E  😃
    OH is back to work today … it’ll seem strange without him here, he’s been at home for at least ten days!

    Good morning all. Still a bit of snow on the hills and breezy and not a pleasant day forecast. I planned on starting to make a new arch today but the weather has stopped play.

    Morning all.

    I'm off to the airport at midday. My tummy always feels wobbly before a journey.

    Sunny here and sun is forecast for Norfolk too, but by the time I get there I expect it will be dark. OH is meeting me at the airport.
