Morning folk's Right Dove, what time do you want the old Man round to clean your gutters! He knows Norfolk quite well. His Grandfather Ernest Craske was Mayor of Great Yarmouth in the 80s. They lived in Winterton, right on the beach.
Morning all. Sunny out now, and the temperature has dropped 4 degrees. It was 10C when I was woken earlier by the rain. Hopefully I’ll get out in the garden today, I’ve been helping OH with some painting and I’m itching to get outside. Only five days until the next green bin collection and there’s loads out there to go in them. Glad to see you out and about a bit more, @punkdoc. How wonderful, @Hostafan1, that hubby has regained some appetite and put some weight back on. He must be feeling rather more comfortable, great for you both. Hope @D0rdogne_Damsel gets a great start to her holiday, and @tui34 is feeling more comfortable. Enjoy your menu planning, @Dovefromabove, keep me a portion of the casseroles, just the thing in this weather.
Light rain showers forecast for today. I'll do some HW and if it isn't raining I may prune the rest of the autumn raspberries. I need to put up more support for them. They grew taller than expected and flopped last year. I'd only done posts and wire for one row, the row with the tayberries in it.
Norfolk tomorrow
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Fancy that! Right @Nanny Beach ... we'll expect him the first fine day ... he won't want to be doing it today ... he'd get washed away ... How does he take his coffee?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sssshhh... the sun's shining here. I received my strawberry plants from Sarah Raven yesterday and put them in water for a good drink. Some look pretty much dead, but I'm sure they'll revive. Planting them today, so hope the sun stays out. Usual Friday night curry for us later.
Good morning to you all (just in time) - it's afternoon here.
Been down to the market this morning. It's so pleasant walking down with said dog in the warm sunshine and NO wind!
@Ergates - thank you for asking. Have had no problems after the extraction. Am taking antibiotics but haven't needed to take any painkillers.
@Busy-Lizzie Hooray!!! Nice to have the house nice and clean for when you return. Have you changed the sheets? Have a safe trip. I know you are driving so take it easy and watch the Aires d'Autoroute for germs.
@Hostafan1 That's a turnaround for your husband to enjoy his food. He must be enjoying life in general - even under the circumstances. Nature is a wondrous thing that we will never understand.
@punkdoc A relief for your family to have the house sold. I imagine there will be a lot of sorting out to do. Will you go and help?
@D0rdogne_Damsel Enjoy your holiday and enjoy the facilities available to you. It may be just the ticket after last year's efforts and staff worries.
@Pat E Often the Northern Hemisphere follows the Southern one, so we may expect the same weather this summer - I hope it's the other way around as we had a weird summer here.
@Dovefromabove Glad that you enjoyed OH's company this week. Nice to have some leisure time together at home.
Dove,he rarely drinks coffee,he is caffeine sensitive, also has to have lactose free milk Don't worry he'll bring his own. I went for the papers. There's a wind tunnel here, opposite of downs. It was such big bits of sleet,it was almost like hail. Suns out now. Just done 2 tip runs, clearing out of the loft, ready for the solar panels. Found some amazing kitchen knives in a very fancy lock up case. Wooden handles, I can't use any because of my hands. They are soooh heavy. Getting ready now. Lunch at our usual carvery, once a month treat Normally we would go valentine's Day,but I have a 30% off voucher which expires today. Getting the dress on!
@tui34, thank you. I'm flying, cheaper and easier and Ryanair have started flights again from February. OH has an appointment with the heart and lung specialist on the 7th March so his operation can't be before that. I'll come back for the car if and when we know the date. Changing the sheets this afternoon.

Yes - doh I remember now - second visit will be the car. Will he be able to come back with you when you have a date for the operation - or would that be too risky - Covid wise?
