Sleep tight @PatE, so glad to hear the good news regarding OH. Happy Birthday to Busy's OH hope the special lunch was a success. @Obelixx , as you say 'interesting' taste, I like the sound of your sewing room colour. @punkdoc oh dear that does not bode well. Will your insurance cover it or do they still try to say 'act of God' these days? @Nanny Beach I would love to play crazy golf again, such fun.
Lovely day here once it had warmed up a bit. Off now to rustle something up for supper, enjoy your evening folks.
  • Evening all,

Happy Birthday to Cedric @Busy-Lizzie, I hope your lunch was good.

Good news re hubby @Pat E, I have raced through Young Wallender, not quite sure why I am hooked, but I am.

No accounting for taste @Obelixx, but sounds like you're on the case.

Long but interesting day at work today, I had a buffet ordered to takeaway, a local art gallery were doing a themed evening  and had asked for food representing Alice in Wonderland. It looked very sweet and I was very pleased with the results but gosh it was time consuming.

After all that was done we then had a staff meeting regarding summer menu, opening hours and working hours. We have decided to slim down the menu, only open 4 evenings instead of 7 and my core staff are going to work longer hours for the 8 weeks holiday, saving the need to take on too many new staff that haven't a clue as to what they are doing. Some part timers from last year are coming back, so again, less training required and a bit more flexibility. Fingers crossed!

Wine bottle now opened for a relaxing evening. New book at the ready.

Hope all are well, have a good evening all.

DD that looks SO tempting. I’m sure your customers were very impressed. You work so hard for them.

We’ve got light drizzle again. I wish it would either rain or clear up. I’ve washing to do. 🙄
