We’ve woken to an overcast day again. Maybe rain! Can’t see any blue skies.

Hubby’s regular visit to his Oncologist today, so I might go into town with him for a break room the house after yesterday’s lonely day.

I feel very sorry for the people in Ukraine, but I can’t say it wasn’t expected.  I hope that not a lot of residents get hurt.

Hubby is planning to ring his sister who lives north of Brisbane to find out how they are getting on. There have been huge falls of rain. In one of the areas they had more than 100 mm in less than an hour. 😳 wow!

It would have been my eldest girl’s birthday today.  (59). It’s hard to believe.  We don’t have anything to do with her husband, he’s an awkward b..gger st the best of times and besides he’s moved on with his life (understandably).  Time to leave for town now, so I’ll catch up later.

The oncologist is happy. Hubby’s blood results are still not too bad, so no change to medication. Next visit in 2 months. 👏

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
4C and a clear sky … I don’t think it’s frosty although we did hear the gritters last night.
Glad the medics are happy with OH @Pat E … that’s great news. 😊

Yes, always a bit of a relief.  We do try to eat sensibly and not overdo his exercise.  Can’t do much else.

  • Good news @Pat E  long may it continue. Nice bright start here. Signs of spring everywhere,  shame the world has gone mad.

    Morning all.

OH's birthday today. I'm taking him out for lunch in a small family run restaurant with a very good chef.

I know about filling buckets of water from the kitchen sink for horses @AnnaB. In Dordogne there always seemed to be a period in winter when their water froze and the outside taps were unusable.

Good morning Forkers.  Lovely clear blue skies here today and bright sunshine but a heavy frost after a clear and starry night.  I have some sanding to do out in the open sided garage - radiator cover and a chest of drawers - and then I can get on with painting doors and door frames and radiator cover.

I love cedars @Allotment Boy and toyed with planting one in our paddock where it would have space but I see so many here damaged by strong coastal winds that I changed my mind.  Beautiful trees but a menace when they start shedding limbs.

Good news about OH @Pat E.   Best wishes to everyone with health worries for themselves, partners of family.

@AnnaB the previous owners had "interesting" taste.  This is what they did in the two boys' rooms.  The other had blue instead of the orange walls and orange laminate flooring.

Took a lot of paint to cover that lot.  It's now a nice soft yellow and is my sewing room.

The girl's room was painted dark grey except for one wall which has a floor to ceiling black and white mural using an aerial photo of New York, surrounded by a frame of strong red paint and then an alcove papered with black and white NY skyline wallpaper.
