Hope things start to look a bit brighter for you soon @Yviestevie. After, as someone described it, a conveyor belt of storms we could all do with a good few hours in the garden with the sun on our backs.
Charlie sounds like he is growing up to be a delightful young man @D0rdogne_Damsel - you must be proud of him. And I suppose I could get into watching Star Wars if it was with a child I was fond of. Don't think my granddaughters are into that though, so pretty safe. That said, will be taking the eldest of them to a local lunchtime concert on Thursday of a local girl who is beginning to make a name for herself.
Our do this evening went much better than expected. A good number of people running local businesses turned up and after the little speeches there was a good buzz in the room as people chatted with each other. And a reporter from the local paper came so hopefully we will get a good write up in the paper. It was all so successful that we have decided to make these get togethers a more frequent occurrence. But won't even think about it until we have got the Jubilee out of the way. And the new food fair...
We are lucky @Lizzie27 - we have a local chap who makes home - made curries that he delivers, some dishes to his Indian grandmother's and mother's recipes. Delicious. And he does have top hygiene rating. In fact all of our local eateries and take-aways pride themselves on their hygiene certificates. Oh - that's me bigging up our local businesses again. Time for bed.
Good to hear from you @Yviestevie but sorry you have been having family problems. I hope this year will be better for you.
Morning Pat.
We are going to bed. Our guests left not long ago. I've been washing my new jumper, I knocked the serving spoon from the Moroccan lamb casserole and it splashed on my jumper. So glad the stains came out, eventually.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning all Good evening @""Pat E" lovely looking little tomatoes! I've got 3 windowsill full of seed trays now! Got soaked yesterday at work so very glad to wake and find it's not rainy or windy for the first time in a week! Hope everyone has a lovely day!
Good morning you three and all to come. Lovely tomatoes @Pat E I may start off some seeds this weekend, it's a lovely thing to look forward to. I've shopping to do in town soon. May it stay dry and wind free.
