Lovely, Dove. I've just been for a very pleasant walk (to justify scoffing a plateful of kind Penny's OH's scones) and when the sun was out, it was quite warm. The wind has dropped considerably, I really do hope that's the end of it.
Thought I would attempt to be useful indoors today so tackled the oven which I set on fire yesterday . I had never used the fan oven function before so I thought I would give it a try. Cue flames and smoke as the accumulated fat and grease on the fan blade caught alight, very scary looking but no lasting damage done. Clearly the self cleaning function doesn't do anything for the fan blade which is now getting a caustic bath to restore it. In my defence removing and cleaning the fan blade isn't mentioned anywhere in the instructions as it involves removing an internal panel so is usually a service engineer job.
It's still windy here. The sun is shining though, which presumably is why our next door neighbour is mowing his lawn. Or possibly he is completely insane

That was the one good thing about lockdown @steephill, my OH, having never done anything in the kitchen for 22 years, got so bored he cleaned the oven!!! I fell in love all over again!
Yes but designated tall people jobs like putting in the new smoke alarm have been put off for 2 weeks so I'm allowed to moan!
Indeed @WonkyWomble 🙄… tell him he doesn’t want to have to explain to his Mother in law why her daughters home has gone up in smoke does he? Shall I come and poke him with my knitting needles? 😉
Night night everyone … sleep tight 😴

Hello everyone. You’re all sounding a bit more cheerful. Hopefully, your weather has settled down now. We’ve got low cloud on the hills and it’s a bit cool, but it’s still not lunchtime yet.
I’m trying to think what to start on today with all the fruit I’ve picked. I suspect the Nashi have to be given priority since they’ve been sitting on a tray in the laundry for several days. The Iowa Crabs can wait for several days.
Today we can read the date in the same way from left to right to left!!
The wind has dropped - it's still blowy, but hopefully those strong winds have gone. They were so strong, I didn't walk the dog yesterday.
Back to gym this morning - Swiss Ball, after my escapade with a rib at Christmas! I loathe to tell you that I forgot about it last night, and relished in a bowl of chick pea salad!!
A little look at Wordle over a cup of tea and a ponder about starting to sow my pepper seeds. @WonkyWomble yours are well on their way. I sowed too early last year thus they were ready too early to plant out(doors) - so geared up for planting out early to mid May to be on the safe side.

Have a splendid day everyone!!

Off to the physio this morning, it's certainly making a difference, but I still wake up sore, stiff and very tender each morning.
Then, paperwork and a sneaky bit of gardening if the sun comes out for me today.
I hope you're all well, especially @punkdoc and @Hostafan1.
