  • Morning,

Oh dear @Fritillary, what a shame.  :open_mouth: And there is still more storms to come yet.

@Pat E have an easy day.

Paperwork day for me, has to be done.  :(

Good day to all, really hope the storms pass safely by for those in the UK.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Hope everyone’s ok. Sorry to hear about the polytunnels 😢
hope there’s not been too much other damage. The local news websites have pictures of trees down across East Anglia.

Morning. Just nipping in before work.

Its eerily still this morning - the calm after and before the storm! Lovely to be lighter though! Sorry to hear about poly tunnel. Been there last year - out rescuing bits at 6am!

Have a good day all. Stay safe and thoughts to all with storm damage or other worries.

  • The chickens survived losing the poly tunnel.
There was extra mesh framework all around the inside. Even with that extra weight it still took off.  The cows are all fine and led down quietly chewing their cuds.

Good morning although not for some.

Thoughts are with you in the storm hit areas.  Eunice seems to be coming up the rear.
@Fritillary   Golly!    Glad all the girls are all right.  We had strong winds during the night down here.  But, well... we are used to that.

Thoughts too for you @D0rdogne_Damsel    I am glad you have the support of your ex-husband.

Some pruning on the agenda today, but may have to defer exercise due to strong winds.

    Have a pleasant day.

    Morning all.

I hope it all works out well for you, @D0rdogne_Damsel and that your father's wife is nice.

Howling gale in the night, but it seems a bit calmer now. I hope it' OK for our journey to see friends in Wiltshire.

I enjoyed the girly lunch and chat yesterday and OH enjoyed lunch in the pub with a couple of the husbands.

Don't worry @Penny_Forthem you are very welcome, some of us have been here longer than others, some of us have met each other, but it doesn't matter, it's good to have new people.

Well, you’ve had and exciting day over there with your weather.

Getting fed up with politics both here and in Ukraine etc.    It’d be lovely to hear something cheerful for a change. 😁

Good morning all. Sorry to hear about polytunnels.

  • I seem to remember hearing something ages ago about lifting the plastic cover at the sides of polytunnels if strong winds are forecast .... wish I'd remembered it yesterday, not a lot of help to those who've lost their polytunnels now.   :/

Morning all, take care in the wind over there, it can be quite terrifying. Cloudy with a gentle breeze here at the moment, we seem to be just getting the tail end of your storms so nothing unusual. We have the men here laying screed in our new extension this morning, they turned up with an armful of baguettes!
Hugs to @D0rdogne_Damsel we had something similar in my family, my children's father walked out when they were very tiny, and never made contact with them or me again, then a few years ago his sister found my daughter on Facebook, she was very unsure whether to make contact, well she did and it wasn't easy at first but now are firm friends. I'm sure you will make the right decision for you.
Sounds like a day of sitting quietly @Pat E I have found the same as I get older, the heat gets me down! Sorry @Hostafan1!
