The weather may be calmer by the afternoon,  maybe you could go late afternoon.

Our forecast is for the winds to ease around mid day so that is good news. Very quiet and clear at the moment.  Just had a very moreish steak and chips with wine as a treat. Son plus dog hasn't arrived yet.

Hoping everyone in the South can stay safe over the next 12 plus hours. I am a bit further west in Wales from @AuntyRach and @wild edges, but we are very high here and it is always a bit windy so not looking forward to the next few hours at all.
But it was an absolutely beautiful day here today - the calm before the storm. Daughter took a double load of hay across the fields to the ponies as it might not be safe tomorrow after she gets back from work (supposing she even gets to work!). We also gathered the small herd up from their winter wooded fields into another couple of safe fields which only have a few trees surrounding them, worried that a tree or large branch might fall on sheltering ponies.
Expect we will lose our electric as so many trees around here and when we have lost it in the past we always seem to be the last to be reinstalled grrrrrrr! So I'll wish you all good luck and will see you sometime soon.

Glad you've got Worzle back @Hostafan1.  It will be good for you to have a day off from that daily drive and hopefully you will be able to speak to your hubby on the phone.
I echo @punkdoc - hope everyone can sleep soundly in their beds tonight and that we all wake up to not too much damage.
