Found this online. Feb '63 I was 2 months old and was born at the beginning of that freeze. If you look for the gable end of the building in the background, that was my next door neighbour. That tree was known as " The Big Tree "
It's very windy here, not far from Swindon, with friends.
I remember skating on the lake in 63 @Hostafan1 we were living in Reigate, Surrey. We also tobogganed down the hill from the RC church. I was born in 51.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning. Aw, bless your OH, Hosta. A cheery soul on our local radio thinks we'll not get it too bad today, apart from the possibility of snow showers... then proceeded to tell us the good news that there's another extreme weather front on the way. How wonderful. May the day be kind and trouble free.
Greetings. Cool, drismal and getting windy here. Other than checking on the chooks I shall be firmly indoors with the next stage of decorating in the living room.
Possum has to go to La Roche for a follow up with the Pôle Emploi and is dropping off OH at the golf club as he wants a practice. Mad. Better than having him underfoot here tho as he's not safe with a roller or paintbrush or spirit level.....
Stay safe and warm and dry everyone and may your gardens be safe too.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning everyone, the storm hasn't really got going here yet, we've had the odd big gust, and some rain. The worst is not expected to start here for another hour or so. @Hostafan1 I was 10 in 1963, remember it all, still have the scars on my left knee from "the toboggan crash" to remind me.

All calm here too @floralies with brilliant sunshine and no wind. We had strong winds all day yesterday so no pruning done of course. Impossible.
A trip to the (rather sparse at the moment) open air market for fresh eggs and some fruit and a couple of errands.
Keep safe gardeners - it will blow over and hopefully not leave too much devastation in its wake.
