Well despite a stiff breeze and heavy rain showers I'm off out to plant snowdrops in the wood and then I might sort that ruddy clematis out. I've yet to decide how to rebuild the arch. Metal or wood.

    Morning all.

It's grey outside, but I hope to do a bit of weeding and tidying up of the garden before I leave on Saturday.

    Good morning to all.

Bright and breezy this morning after another very stormy night.  But no rain.  The mercury has gone up a few degrees and although it is sunny, the wind cools the air down somewhat.

A little housework on the cards today - probably!

    Enjoy your coffee @Nanny Beach
@D0rdogne_Damsel   I couldn't live anywhere else than in a coastal region.  It's so nice to be able to walk along a beach or the promenade in the winter sun.  You can only last about 20 minutes on a plastic seat for a coffee outside - but it's worth it.

Have a pleasant day whatever the weather.

  • Morning. News of the day, son has tested positive.
I love Arcachon, too. Our dream is to live on Anglesey, though we are not too far away where we are.

When we were moving to Devon, we wanted to be by the coast, but now , after living here for 10 years , I'm glad we are 10 miles inland.
Apart from the gales, and the salt spray playing havoc with gardening options, everywhere is RAMMED with tourists in summer.

I hope you son doesn't suffer too badly Penny_Forthem.

Would you say that it's got busier in the last 10 years Hostafan?

I'm not sure. I never go anywhere near the coast in Summer.
The sea is too cold for me to get into, so I don't see the point.

  • Anglesey definitely has got a lot busier. We sited our caravan there for 15 years and it was a short skip and a jump there after work. When it got to queuing for hours to get over the bridge, we decamped to the Clwydians - a very short skip and a jump now, along empty roads.
    Thanks @Uff

    Hi all

Truly horrible here today, fog, high winds and rain.
How can you lie there and think of England

I can recommend The Responder on BBC.
Brillaint TV and Martin Freeman is sensational in it.
