I can’t get over Hubby’s care home being so slack Hosta. I hope things look up soon for him. Anna B very sorry about your cat. I still have vivid memories of the last days of our cats and my darling little poodle. It doesn’t go away, but at least I have lovely memories of them all. Obelixx I’m amazed at the energy you’re putting into the house. It makes me tired to imagine it. I got myself moving yesterday and filled the trailer with weeds and prunings. Mostly the Forsythia. We might hook the trailer up to the Ute and dump the lot out near the back fence where nobody goes. I haven’t decided about pruning roses which badly need doing. If the wood burner was going, I’d burn them, but we are months away from that.
We’ve got some good clouds today. I’ve missed seeing them over the last week or so with the grey clouds all over.
Hubby has gone to help with a “controlled burn” at one of the properties across the valley this afternoon. So much for moving the trailer out the back. Oh well, it doesn’t matter really. I might be able to get some photos of what they’re doing over there in a couple of hours. 🙄. Might take some colouring books onto the verandah to muse me.
Morning all. An early cup of tea for me. I'm sorry to hear about your cat AnnaB, a sad time for you.
I'm still recovering from aches and pains from making a new arch and putting it up on Fri. One of my volunteer chums came to give me a hand for which I was very grateful. Just need to talk to the montana to encourage speedy growth to cover it now.
Good morning all. I'm sorry @AnnaB for your loss. It's sad when we lose our beloved pets. It's horrible weather out, I have the bird feeders to clean and fill, so a mad dash with them and maybe some seed sorting. That's about it! Have a good day.
I'm so sorry @AnnaB to hear about the loss of your much loved cat. Nice that you still have one at home.
Rain is forecast for the next couple of days so I'm hoping to get into the garden and start preparing the soil later in the week.
My peas have just poked up - the Mange Tout that is!! as are my white radishes which I sowed around the same time in a plastic tunnel with dubious thoughts! "Chandelle de Grace" - they are delicious radishes - not the Daikon variety which get sown late August for Autumn/Winter consumption. (In carpaccio with a drizzle of olive oil and seasoning).
Slow start for us too Dove - I need a bit more of @tui34's oomph! My book club meets once a month and this month's book (Midnight Library by Matt Haig) is one I had already read - but I'm having to re-read it to think of what I want to say about it. Luckily it is quite a slight book so isn't taking long.
It's grey and windy in Norfolk. Don't think I'll be outside much, the wind has a bitter chill.
Yesterday I pruned a climbing rose, Souvenir de Dr Jamain. Four more climbers to prune, but not in this chill. Made a bread and butter pudding last night, haven't made one for ages. It went down very well, should have fed 6 and we ate half of it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sounds like a lot of hard work @Obelixx, hope you've been able to relax with a nice glass of something good.

I feel motivated today - so am up and ready!!
Have an enjoyable Sunday wherever you are.

We’ve both slept in and are having a slow start to the morning… ☕️
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
