    Good night Dove.

The electrician came, dealt with the summer house lighting but must order a new bathroom fan.

Then we went to the SM, then had lunch in a pub in the local town, Hunter's Chicken and salad for me and fish and chips for him. It was good, no skin on the fish which was beautifully moist and tender.

We finished watching "No Return" this evening.

Morning folks, always seems to be bang on 7 when I get up. It's a standing family joke, ask me the time,I will tell you within 10 minutes...I'm like Jack Reacher, built in clock. Took the dogs on the beach yesterday,it was lovely sunny, hardly a cloud. We sat on the top prom, out of the wind. It's bang on south facing. Got talking to fellow dig walkers as you do. Remarked on cold Saturday. Lady says she's a Dr. Do I have health issues, because it wasn't cold. It was 7c, phone said real feel 1c. The wind was bitter, full in your face,my eyes were streaming because of the wind,so my face was freezing. The sun wasn't out either. Assured her I was the proverbial butchers dog. Mind you she was on holiday, and lives on the NW coast of Scotland,no doubt a darn sight colder, than Eastbourne beach! Even the old man was cold Saturday, and he rarely wears hat or gloves. As you know I am "Mrs Hotflush".

    Good morning all.

I had a bad night. Full moon is due tomorrow, but I didn't know that last night. Did notice the garden was bathed in light when I went to the loo.

@Nanny Beach we thought it felt very cold yesterday. The car said 7C but it felt colder. Wasn't sunny in Norfolk yesterday, very grey with some drizzle.

It was definitely cold and miserable yesterday @Busy-Lizzie … we put the heating back on in the afternoon 🥶 and the gritter was out last night …

Our heating is on all day, but set to go off at night.

  • We tend to vary whether we keep the heating on depending on what we’re doing. If I’m being active, or doing a lot of cooking, there’s little point in having it on if it’s not really cold … this house seems to stay warm quite well … but if I’m spending time in the studio or knitting etc I put it on again.

    Good morning.

Cold here too @Nanny Beach with 7°C and a cruel chilling wind coming off the mountains.  Brrr.  Sunny though.

Off to town today - got lots to do.

Hope you are not too cold and wet today!!

Yesterday here, was 12c,so out of the wind, really lovely. Was chatting to a friend in Suffolk, she said it was raining. Today is grey, but mild. It was 6c overnight,so I spent most of it, outside the (summer weight,) duvet! Both my neighbours live in T shirts, this time of the year. Went round to my friends, her heating was on 23.5c, sun blasting in the south facing window, she was wearing a t shirt,I thought I was going to spontaneously combust! She keeps her great thick coat on in here, mine will be on 18c, not at all if it's sunny

Your friend reminds me of my sister @Nanny Beach.  We were far too hot during our last visit (pre covid and about this time of year) in our woolly jumpers.  She and visiting daughters were in blouses and they all keep their houses much hotter than our 15c during the afternoon and up to 20c for the evening.  We don't have the heating on at night or, if we can help it, the morning.
A day of meetings for me today.
