We received a gorgeous gift this morning; my hub hasn't been well and has recently undergone surgery so friends sent us a beautiful bouquet of tulips with their bulbs attached. The gift that keeps on giving; flowers now, flowers next year. What a good idea.
I've made a huge cauliflower cheese for supper ... we had bits of various cheesy Christmas presents to use up, plus the usual Cheddar and Gouda that live in the fridge ... I made the cheese sauce using cheddar and gouda and the tail end of some Cornish Blue, and I've grated the remains of a chunk of Truffled Cheddar over the top for added zing! We've a loaf of home-made wholemeal bread to eat with it ..... it's going to be gorgeous!

Wow @chicky - what an amazing capture on your new trail cam! @Pat E - I see a kitten with the back view of its head on the right and its tail on the left. Ours is an old house and when we moved in we simply painted over the lumpy plaster as we couldn't afford to have the walls replastered. As I lie in bed I see shapes in the lumps, one being a man walking beside a donkey.
I love an old fashioned haberdashery @Busy-Lizzie. We have a really old fashioned store here in Bungay, family owned for a few generations. It sells all sorts - from beds and carpets to shoe laces. Closes for lunch and all day on Wednesdays. People joke that they haven't changed the window displays since the coronation! @Penny_Forthem - what a thoughtful gift. Hope hubby is on the mend.
I'm out of sorts today. Another frustrating Zoom meeting yesterday with a group of people dominated by town councillors supposedly working together to improve the visitor offering of our town. The chair's approach is quite chaotic and we never have an agenda or minutes so we go over the same ground at each meeting and things agreed at one are jettisoned at the next, according to whoever has bent the chair's ear in the meantime.
I wish I could walk away and let them get on with it but unfortunately it is supposed to be a collaboration between the business organisation I chair and the Town Council. I know I shouldn't let myself get to emotionally involved in these things but don't know how not to.
@Dovefromabove wondered if that were you, too 'Tis I. I am now off to potter in the greenhouse, get my diary and seeds in order (seem to have rather a lot!) and sow parsley. I have my cuppa with me.
