Hello RosieBB - glad to hear Alfie had a better night but sorry to hear you've had some issues with your tablet. Technology is wonderful until it goes wrong.

I've been thinking for a while that it would be sensible (security wise) to change the password on my desktop computer. It's only taken a week to pluck up the courage to actually do it... Absolutely terrified of accidentally locking myself out of it.

However, it's done now and was simple to do but I bet I'll trying to enter the old one for the next few weeks (I've been using it for 12 years - very naughty). Everything seems to be working fine so we'll see...

Thanks for the clarification @bluebellsintherain aka Rosie  :D  as I don't know some of you very well yet, I thought I was being very daft. Thanks for your patience.

Technology eh?  OH locked himself out of his iPad this morning ...  he asked me to Google the Apple Help website on my laptop for him ... as I did so I asked whether he'd tried the obvious .. i.e. turn it off and wait ten minutes then turn it on again ... he hadn't so he tried it ...... and it worked  o:)

By the way, while we're in clarification mode, I'm not acquainted with who Alfie is ... I gather he has breathing problems?  So far I don't know whether he's partner, offspring or pet ... (I think probably pet, but I'm not 100% certain ...) ... if someone could enlighten me please ...  :)

Ha ha ha T'Bird, I have fingerprint I.D. set up on my phone and I get told innumerable times that the fingerprint doesn't match! Neither does swearing at it or threatening to drop it down the toilet apparently! Luckily the pin number is my failsafe back up.

    Thank you @bluebellsintherain 🙏
I kept thinking of him as like my late parents’ Cavalier spaniel who also had breathing problems. Now I know 😊

Glad it was you Rosie BB.

I've spent a couple of hours in the loft this afternoon sorting boxes and finding my sewing stuff and art stuff. I can't carry the boxes down the ladder so I unpacked it into carrier bags. Tomorrow I will put it in the cupboard in the study, which is really more of a book and crafts room. The loft is horrid, cramped and cobwebby, above the old garage which is now the utility room, study and tool room (man cave). It's an extension to the house and no 1st floor. There is not much height to it, can only stand in a narrow strip so I've been shuffling on my knees.

Oh my goodness Hazel. Its so annoying when the instructions for a job are so very confusing but I'm sure between you, you will get it sorted before too long.
Busy, please take care going into that loft space - shuffling on your knees does not sound very safe to me.

    Afternoon/Evening all,

Marti put paid to a long stint in the garden today. Did brave it for a bit but hard to generate enthusiasm for bigger jobs if it is going to persist it down every 10 minutes.

I did split an Aloe Vera plant that I bought on impulse a week or two back. It was wrapped in plastic when I got it and was a massive, floppy growth when I opened it up. Anyway, it has been divided into 13 plants now. Hopefully, they all take and make it £5 well spent ;) Not sure the OH will be pleased when she sees all the new plants scattered between the back porch and dining table though :o
