Good Morning SGL, Debs & LB and all to follow, SGL Sorry you were awake so early, hope you are feeling a bit more revived after a nice cup of tea, Debs Take care on your walk to the bus, hope work goes ok and you’re not left without a voice at the end of the day, LB Just enjoying my first cuppa of the day it does taste the best, hope Lily is not so snuffly now, Hope you have a good day everyone.
Been up since 4.30 having fallen asleep in the comfy armchair yet again! Slightly better news from the cricket - mainly because it's been raining in Sydney
Looks set for the fine day promised so no excuses not to get the final batch of bulbs in. Then I'll paint the exposed bits of the fence panel and re-assemble once it is dry.
Tea certainly did the trick @Chivetalking Thick frost this morning, people outside scraping their cars. Wrap up warm if you're going out today Take care @debs64 hope you feel better soon and you don't lose your voice completely. Hopefully customers will be nice ones today. @Chivetalking are you seeing the little people today? @Ladybird4 hope Lily is feeling better 🐾🐾 @Rubee enjoy your first cup of tea.....always the best ☕☕ @Biglad hope you get the bulbs planted and the ground isn't too hard.
Waving from a sunny but white and frosty Lincolnshire 👋
Oh dear @debs64 … hope you’re feeling better soon … book a PCR test. Lateral Flow tests don’t pick Omicron up for the first several days. One of the first symptoms is a cold with a sore scratchy throat.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all - a nice sunny and bright day here but it's fffffffreezing. Lots of frost where the sun hasn't reached. I know I should get out and do an hour in the garden each day when it's dry but it looks sooooo cold - what a whimp!
Will take down the decos instead...😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I'm planning on taking down the decorations too. It's much colder, frost this morning and sunny.
I've cut my hair this morning, not so easy here as can't have mirrors in the wardrobe doors as they slide. Hope it's OK.
Just had an email from the plumber, he's had Covid and is still off work. He was supposed to remove the horrid old shower next week and fit the new corner bath. I'm sorry for him, being ill, but I ordered this bath last spring and there is always a reason that it's put off. Some of the time I've been away but I told him when and those are always the dates he can manage, but not when I'm here.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Got my bulbs in @star gaze lily. No frost in the ground. Just frosty windscreens by the looks of things
Off for a stroll into town now. Unfortunately, running-around-a-field duties are still often paid in cash so I occasionally have to pay in at the bank.
No @Biglad - it's cold and breezy! Lovely to look at though - even if the sun is showing up just how mucky my windows are. Why does winter sun show up dusty and smeary surfaces quite so much?☹️
